Is GOD ONE or THREE PERSONS?

Is GOD ONE or THREE PERSONS?

Deuteronomy 6:4 tells us Yahweh GOD is ONE PERSON:

Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is ONE.

Which means ONE PERSON!

If GOD was THREE PERSONS called the TRINITY, Deuteronomy 6:4 would instead say:

Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is THREE.

Deuteronomy 6:4 is also confirmed by Jesus in Mark 12:29

Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'Hear this O Israel: The Lord our God is  👉ONE  👉Lord, again which means 👉ONE PERSON! 👈 NOT TWO OR THREE

If GOD was THREE PERSONS called the TRINITY, Jesus would have instead said: The foremost is, 'Hear this O Israel: The Lord our God is  👉THREE!

To say and believe GOD is THREE PERSONS, is to believe in a false God, instead of The ONE TRUE GOD!

The Biblical Facts Jesus Is Not GOD Or An Angel, Or Pre-existed His flesh!

The Biblical Facts Jesus Is Not GOD Or An Angel, Or Pre-existed His flesh!

This page is still under construction please come back.

By Simon Brown

In the beginning was GOD's word, not GOD's Son, John 1:1, Genesis 1: 3 And God said.

Jesus is The (Word of GOD), NOT GOD the Word, John 1:14, Revelation 19:13.

GOD did not become flesh, or is He a MAN, or a Son of MAN. The Word of GOD became the MAN Jesus, Numbers 23:19, John 1:14.

If Jesus were Michael the Archangel, John 1:14 would say: and Michael the Archangel became flesh.

If Jesus were GOD the Father, John 1:14 would say: And GOD the Father became flesh.

The True Jesus was foreknown, not Pre-existing, 1 Peter 1:20.

Nowhere in the whole Bible does it say Jesus was going ''BACK'' or ''RETURNING'' to the Father. John 13:3,John 16:28.

In the beginning GOD spoke through the prophets, not through the Son Hebrews 1:1.

GOD spoke through His SON in the last days, not in the beginning of days Hebrews 1:2.

GOD The Son cannot be the SON of GOD, because The Son would instead be the Son of Himself.

GOD gave His SON, not Himself. John 3:16.

If the Father were the SON, why would the Father need to come as the SON?

Why would we need a Mediator to get to GOD, if Jesus were already GOD?

No one has ever seen GOD at any time, John 1:1, 1 John 4:12, contrary to the fact that Jesus has been seen thousands of times.

Jesus has a GOD, so Jesus cant be that GOD.

Humans and Angels must not worship Angels, proving Jesus was not an Angel. Revelation 22:9.

The Only Begotten Son was Begotten, GOD is not Begotten, but always was.

The true Jesus was BORN from GOD, not from eternity.

Jesus is The (Son of Man), GOD is not a Son of man Numbers 23:19

Jesus must be a MAN and not GOD, to be a Mediator between GOD and Man.

Jesus is the second and last perfect Adam, so as Adam did not pre-exist, nor did the second, and last perfect Adam.

Jesus freely gave His life, which would not be possible if Jesus were GOD.

Jesus is never called The Almighty GOD, but the SON of the Almighty GOD, John 10:36.

The Almighty GOD never ever said He was the Son, just as the Son never ever said He was GOD.

Jesus said He could do nothing on His own proving He was not Almighty GOD.

Jesus will hand over the world back to GOD, but should be back to Himself if Jesus were already GOD.

GOD is ONE person, that's why GOD is called The ''ONE TRUE GOD'' John 17:3.

THREE separate persons who are each GOD, makes THREE GODS, and not One GOD.

Nowhere in the Word of GOD does it say GOD is THREE persons.

In John 14:11 Jesus tells us He is "IN" the Father and the Father is ''IN'' Him. If Jesus were GOD that would make TWO GODS.

Nowhere in the Word of GOD does it say the Holy Spirit is a separate person.

There is no separate Holy Spirit in John 1:1, or John 10:30, or on GOD's throne, or anywhere in the whole Bible.

Nowhere in the Word of GOD does it say Jesus is the creator.

Nowhere in the Word of GOD does it say Jesus was GOD and a MAN, or had two natures.

A Pre-existing Jesus could not be The True Christ, because The True Christ came into existence in the women's womb as The Son of MAN.

Christ never means I AM GOD, but means (The anointed one of GOD).

In John 8:58 Jesus said: (I am). NOT I Existed.

John 8:58, (I am) means (I am the one), as seen in John 4:6. NOT I AM GOD, or ALIVE before being born.

Notice how Jesus tells us in John 8:56 Abraham your father rejoiced in that he should see My day--and he saw it and rejoiced."

Did you notice how nothing was said by Jesus saying He was ALIVE and saw Abraham, which should be the case if Jesus meant what most believe that Jesus was GOD or ALIVE with GOD before He was Begotten?

Thanks to GOD through Christ!

Because of GOD, Jesus will live for eternity, proving Jesus is not GOD.

Because of Jesus, we can come to know the One True GOD and father of creation.

Because of Jesus, the saved will live for eternity, so lets thank GOD for Jesus, for eternity.

What GOD and Christ do you know?

WHY John 1:1 is not about Jesus!

WHY John 1:1 is not about Jesus!

Chapter 1: John 1:1 — Is the "Word" Jesus?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." — John 1:1

Perhaps no verse in the entire Bible has generated more discussion than John 1:1. For centuries it has been one of the principal passages used to support the doctrine of the Trinity and the belief that Jesus Christ personally existed alongside God before His birth in Bethlehem.

Yet despite its popularity, John 1:1 is also one of the Bible's most misunderstood passages.

Many sincere Christians assume that "the Word" (Logos) in John 1:1 is simply another name for Jesus. But is that actually what John intended his readers to understand?

This chapter will examine the passage carefully by considering:

  • the oldest Greek manuscripts,
  • the meaning of the Greek word Logos,
  • John's Old Testament background,
  • the immediate context of John's Gospel,
  • and the testimony of Scripture as a whole.

My purpose is not to ask readers to accept a tradition, whether Trinitarian or Unitarian, but to examine the biblical evidence carefully and allow Scripture to explain itself.

As we shall see, I believe John's opening words are not introducing a second divine person existing beside God before creation. Rather, John begins exactly where Genesis begins—with the One True God speaking His creative word into existence.

The Greek Text

The Greek text reads:

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος,
καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν,
καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.

Literally:

"In beginning was the word,
and the word was with God,
and God was the word."

Notice something very important.

The original Greek manuscripts do not contain an upper-case "W" and a lower-case "w" as modern English does. The earliest manuscripts were written in continuous Greek script without the capitalization conventions used in modern English translations.

Therefore, the familiar English translation "Word" with a capital W is not found in the original Greek text. It is an editorial decision made by translators.

This does not automatically mean the translation is wrong. However, it does encourage the reader to understand Logos as a personal title, almost as though John had written the name "Jesus."

John himself did not write "Jesus" here.

He wrote Logos.

Before deciding who or what the Logos is, we must first discover what John meant by that word.

What Does "Logos" Mean?

The Greek word λόγος (Logos) has a broad range of meanings.

It can refer to:

  • a word,
  • speech,
  • a message,
  • an utterance,
  • a declaration,
  • a report,
  • a command,
  • reason,
  • purpose,
  • or an expressed thought.

Throughout the New Testament, Logos is translated simply as "word" hundreds of times.

For example:

"Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17)

Here, no translator capitalizes the word "word."

The Greek word is exactly the same: Logos.

Likewise, throughout the New Testament, translators consistently render Logos as "word," "message," or "teaching" without suggesting that it is a personal name.

Only in the opening verses of John's Gospel do most English translations capitalize it as Word, thereby encouraging readers to think immediately of a person.

The capitalization itself is not inspired Scripture; it is an interpretation supplied by translators.

This raises an important question:

Did John intend his readers to understand "Logos" as a person, or was he speaking about God's own word, purpose, wisdom and self-expression?

That question deserves to be answered from Scripture itself.

Bible Interlinear John 1:1

The false translations of JOHN 1:1.

Notice how the same Greek word for (Logos Λόγος word), is never in CAPITALS, except in John 1:1,

And the Jehovah Witnesses have their own translation saying:

John 1:1.

Christos: the Anointed One, Messiah, Christ

Psalm 33:6

John 1:14

Berean Literal Bible

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld His glory, a glory as of an only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Did you see that: And the 👉Word👈 became flesh.

So the Word of GOD tells us how, GOD's 👉Word👈became flesh.

Notice what we do NOT read:  And 👉GOD👈became flesh!

WHEN did Jesus BEGIN to EXIST?

WHEN did Jesus BEGIN to EXIST?

The Answer is in The Genealogy of Jesus:

◄ Matthew 1 ►

Berean Literal Bible

The Genealogy of Jesus

(Ruth 4:18-22; Luke 3:23-38)

1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham:

2 Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob begat Judah and his brothers.

3 And Judah begat Perez and Zerah out of Tamar, and Perez begat Hezron, and Hezron begat Ram.

4 And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon.

5 And Salmon begat Boaz out of Rahab, and Boaz begat Obed out of Ruth, and Obed begat Jesse,

6 and Jesse begat David the king.

Next:

David begat Solomon, out of the wife of Uriah,

7 and Solomon begat Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begat Abijah, and Abijah begat Asa.

8 And Asa begat Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Uzziah.

9 And Uzziah begat Jotham, and Jotham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Hezekiah.

10 And Hezekiah begat Manasseh, and Manasseh begat Amos, and Amos begat Josiah,

11and Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brothers at the time of the carrying away to Babylon.

12 And after the carrying away to Babylon: Jechoniah begat Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel,

13 and Zerubbabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor.

14 And Azor begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud.

15 And Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob, 16 And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, the One being called Christ.

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David until the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.

The Birth of Jesus

(Isaiah 7:10-16; Micah 5:1-6; Luke 2:1-7)

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ came about in this way: His mother Mary, having been pledged to Joseph, before their coming together, was found holding in womb through the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being righteous and not willing to shame her publicly, resolved to divorce her quietly.

20 But on his having pondered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, you should not be afraid to receive Mary as your wife, for that having been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

22 And all this has come to pass, so that it may be fulfilled that having been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

23“Behold, the virgin will hold in womb, and will bring forth a son, and they will call His name Immanuel” which is, being translated, “God with us.”

24 And Joseph, having been awoken from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and received his wife. 25 But he did not know her until she had brought forth a Son, and he called His name Jesus.

The Pilgrimage of the Magi

1 Now Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is the One having been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

What have we discovered in The Genealogy of Jesus?

We have seen in The Genealogy of Jesus, WHEN Jesus was BEGOTTEN and BORN.

The Genealogy of Jesus, reveals WHEN He came into existence.

In The Genealogy of Jesus, there is NO mention of Jesus pre-existing His flesh as GOD, or as an Angel.

The Genealogy of Jesus, proves how Jesus did NOT pre-exist His flesh.

In fact, in all three Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, there is NO  mention, ANYWHERE, of Jesus pre-existing His flesh.

In fact, when the word of GOD is correctly understood, we discover the truth is, how there are NO teachings within the whole Bible teaching a PREEXISTING Christ, or who was GOD.

But instead a Christ who was a ''unique MAN'' and NOT PRE-EXISTING, but was instead, FOREKNOWN: as revealed in the great Bible PROPHECIES.

1 Peter 1:2: having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but having been revealed in the last times for the sake of you.
