Trinitarians are in fact confessing and demonstrating with their own hands how they have followed in the footsteps of the rebellious Jews.
Jesus rectified the Jews when they accused Him for blaspheming, because they believed He was claiming to be GOD by saying: do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? John 10:16.
Notice how Jesus did not say, you are correct, yes I am GOD.
But instead: ’I am the Son of God’? John 10:16.
Notice also how Jesus said He was a MAN in John 8:40 and did not say He was GOD:
but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. John 8:40.
Notice how Jesus called Himself the Son of MAN and NEVER GOD: And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20
For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” Matthew 12:8
But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic— “Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” Matthew 9:6
As we have seen above Jesus did not ever say He was GOD but a MAN.
When we believe and teach that Jesus is GOD – when He only ever taught that He was the SON of THE ONE TRUE GOD – we are no better then the Jews, who accused Jesus for something He never claimed, which they RIGHTLY CALLED BLASPHEMY, but wrongly accused Him for BLASPHEMY.
’We are accusing Jesus of slander, because Jesus NEVER SAID HE WAS GOD, but INSTEAD ONLY EVER said He IS the SON of GOD. John 10:36.
