Simon Brown.

Proverbs 8:34-36 Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts. For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh. But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.” Psalm 84: 11 For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. 12 Yahweh of Armies, blessed is the man who trusts in you. 1 John 5:5 Now who is the one overcoming the world, except the one believing that Jesus is the Son of God?

What Did Jesus Say and Mean About The FIG Tree? Matthew 24:32-51.

Matthew 24:32-51.

Don't be like most caught out, but read on and find out!

Berean Literal Bible

The Lesson of the Fig Tree

(Mark 13:28-31; Luke 21:29-33)

32 Now learn the parable of the fig tree: When its branch already may have become tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that the summer is near. 33 So also you, when you see all these things, know that He is near, at the doors. 34 Truly I say to you that this generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place. 35 The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

Readiness at Any Hour

(Genesis 6:1-7; Mark 13:32-37; Luke 12:35-48)

36 But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, nor the Son, except the Father only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until that day Noah entered into the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and took away all; so also will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two will be in the field: one is taken, and one is left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one is taken, and one is left.

42 Therefore keep watch, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes. 43 And know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief comes, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Because of this, you also be ready, for the Son of Man comes in that hour you do not expect.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has set over his household, to give to them the food in season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, having come, will find thus doing. 47 Truly I say to you that he will set him over all of his possessing.

48 But if that evil servant should say in his heart, ‘My master delays,’ 49 and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and to drink with those being drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour which he is unaware, 51and will cut him in pieces, and will appoint his place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers

And what our Lord teaches is that as surely as the fresh green foliage of the fig tree is a sign of summer, so shall the signs of which He speaks portend the coming of the Son of Man.

Geneva Study Bible

{7} Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet {s} tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

(7) If God has prescribed a certain order to nature, much more has he done so to his eternal judgments; but the wicked do not understand it, or rather they mock it: but the godly make note of it, and wait for it.

(s) When its tenderness shows that the sap which is the life of the tree has come from the roots into the bark.

Simon Brown, my own conclusion!

The Lesson of the Fig Tree is to keep watch, for we do not know on what day Jesus will return, so we must have our faith and life in order, and not be like the Foolish Virgins who were caught off guard.

As many of the last day signs are here leading up to the signs of the end times, just as we see around us, and just as we read, in the last day, just as there are difficult times, evil, lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, verbally abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,  unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, savage, haters of good, betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And turn away from these. 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

The world disasters will get worse and worse, just as we see, and just as they are, and just as we read in the Word of GOD, which are the signs of the end timesMatthew 24:8…7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed in the whole earth, for a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.
