What Must We Believe?

John also writes:
"Whoever believes in Him is not condemned... because he has believed in the name of the only Son of God."John 3:18
Notice that John says we must believe Jesus is the only Son of God.
Did Jesus Ever Say, "I Am God"?
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus never records the words:
"I am God."
"Worship Me because I am Almighty God."
"Believe that I am God in order to be saved."
Instead, Jesus repeatedly described Himself as the Son of God.
John 10:33–36
The Jewish leaders accused Jesus of making Himself God:
"You, being a man, make yourself God."John 10:33
But notice Jesus' reply only a few verses later:
"...because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?"John 10:36
Rather than affirming the accusation, Jesus identifies Himself as the Son of God.
What About Salvation?
The New Testament repeatedly connects salvation with believing that Jesus is:
the Christ,
the Messiah,
and the Son of God.
For example:
"These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name."John 20:31
John later adds:
"Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"1 John 5:5
The Greatest Commandment
When asked the greatest commandment, Jesus answered by quoting the Shema:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."Mark 12:29
Jesus pointed His hearers back to Israel's historic confession of one God.
The Invitation
Jesus said:
"If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."John 8:31–32

One of the most important questions every Christian can ask is:
Who did Jesus say He was?
Rather than beginning with church traditions or later theological creeds, we should begin with the words of Jesus Himself. After all, if anyone can tell us who Jesus is, it is Jesus.
Jesus also warned that our salvation depends upon believing and obeying His teaching.
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever rejects the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."John 3:36
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life."John 6:47
The obvious question then becomes:
What exactly did Jesus tell us to believe?
The Bible's Simple Answer
John tells us plainly:
"Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."John 3:18
Notice carefully what John says.
He does not say we must believe Jesus is Almighty God.
He says we must believe that Jesus is the only Son of God.
Later, John explains why he wrote his Gospel:
"These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name."John 20:31
Again, the purpose of John's Gospel is that we believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.
Did Jesus Ever Say, "I Am God"?
This is a question every honest Bible student should ask.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus never records the words:
"I am God."
"I am God the Son."
"Believe I am God in order to be saved."
Instead, Jesus repeatedly referred to Himself as:
the Son of God,
the Son of Man,
the Messiah,
the Christ,
the One sent by the Father.
John 10:33–36
One passage often discussed is John 10.
The Jewish leaders accused Jesus:
"You, being a man, make yourself God."John 10:33
Many people stop reading there.
But Jesus immediately answered their accusation:
"...because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?"John 10:36
Notice what Jesus did not say.
He did not reply,
"You are correct—I am God."
Instead, He restated His own claim:
"I am the Son of God."
The Only True God
Perhaps Jesus' clearest statement is found in His prayer to the Father.
"This is eternal life, that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."John 17:3
Jesus identifies the Father as "the only true God" and distinguishes Himself as the One sent by the Father.
This verse has become one of the most important passages for Christians seeking to understand the relationship between God and His Son.
The Apostle Paul Agrees
Paul writes:
"Yet for us there is one God, the Father... and one Lord, Jesus Christ."1 Corinthians 8:6
Paul distinguishes between:
one God — the Father
one Lord — Jesus Christ
without confusing the two.
The Greatest Commandment
When Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest, He quoted the Shema of Israel.
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."Mark 12:29
Jesus affirmed the very same belief that faithful Jews had confessed for centuries.
He did not alter it or expand it into a doctrine of three divine persons.
Search the Scriptures
Jesus encouraged His followers to continue in His teaching.
"If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."John 8:31–32
Likewise, the Bereans were commended because they carefully examined the Scriptures.
"They received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so."Acts 17:11
Every Christian should do the same.
Rather than simply accepting what others teach, we should ask:
Did Jesus ever say He is Almighty God?
Why did He consistently call Himself the Son of God?
Why does John say believing Jesus is the Son of God brings eternal life?
Why did Jesus call the Father "the only true God"?
These are questions every sincere believer should prayerfully consider.

Read His words carefully. Compare every doctrine with Scripture. Test everything. Hold fast to what is true.
If we genuinely want to follow Christ, then His own teaching—not later traditions or human opinions—must always remain our highest authority.

Now, I don’t know about you, I only believe what Jesus and His prophets and disciples taught.
In fact, we are in trouble if we do not believe what Jesus taught as He said in John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Notice we MUST believe Jesus is the only Son of God. John 3:18.

However MOST believe Jesus is GOD, or THREE called the TRINITY, so how will they be SAVED?
The scriptures are the Biblical facts, and therefore teach we MUST believe Jesus is the only Son of God. John 3:18.
Notice there is NOTHING in the whole Bible saying we MUST believe Jesus is GOD.
As there are NO such teachings saying one MUST believe Jesus is GOD, or that GOD is THREE persons, or GOD and His SON are THREE called the TRINITY, which is clear proof alone that most have been deceived and believe what is not taught anywhere in the Bible.
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31,32.
Jesus made this very clear that we must believe and follow His teachings.

do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
Notice in John 10:33 how the Jews wrongly accused Jesus for claiming to be GOD: The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”
Then just a few verses later notice how Jesus did NOT say, yes you are correct, I AM GOD, but notice instead how Jesus RECTIFIED the Jews by saying: ‘I am the Son of God’?
So who did Jesus say He was?
Answer:
‘I am the Son of God’?
John 10:33.
As I said: I only believe what Jesus and His prophets and disciples taught.

There is a ‘massively sad confusion’ in the Christian world, with Christians not understanding the truth of the divinity of Jesus Christ, the SON of God. Literally.
I was one who believed in the trinity. Then after seeking, as Jesus said, SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND, I believe I have now found.
Here is my own research, which I pray will help to clear up this massive confusion, which many will still refuse to believe.
Before reading my research, please pray first, and ask God to help you know the truth. Keeping an open heart and mind.
This is why Trinitarians say the trinity is a mystery, because it is simply not true, which is why they cannot understand their own faith.
Once we know the truth of Jesus divinity, the Bible is no longer a mystery, and our minds are no longer confused, and the Bible makes complete sense, and there are no longer any Bible contradictions, and we are ‘truly’ set FREE.
Follow me Simon Brown and see the truth of the true SON of God, and know and understand the ONLY ONE ‘true’ father GOD .

I now believe GOD is ONE GOD alone,
and that Jesus is NOT THE ONE TRUE GOD,
or the same person as GOD the father,
or that Jesus Pre-Existed His flesh, but was a MAN and the only Begotten SON of his one true GOD,
just as He only ever said.
I Simon Brown have swallowed my pride and have repented, as I was wrong.
I am now ‘changed’ and confident, Jesus made it very clear in one statement that there is only ‘ONE' true GOD, when He said: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3.
Notice how Jesus very clearly ‘excludes Himself’ from being THE GOD, by saying: the only true God, and Jesus Christ.
In this one statement in John 17:3, from the very lips of Jesus, He confirms His GOD the Father is THE ONLY TRUE GOD.
In other words His father GOD is the only person who has always existed and there is NONE other like Him, but Him, and only Him.
And then below in John 20:31 Jesus again confirms He, Jesus is the Son of God and says nothing about being the GOD Himself or the same person as GOD the Father.
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:31.
We then have St Paul confirming with Jesus in 1 Corinthians 8:6, below by saying: there is but one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ.
Notice St Paul also clearly reveals and confirms with Jesus by saying, GOD the Father is ONE, not 2 or 3, and Jesus is ONE, not 2 or 3, as the doctrine of trinity falsely teaches.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 8:6. King James Bible.
We then have an explosive statement below by St John in 1 John 5:5, confirming what a person needs to believe to overcome the world and be saved, by St John making it very clear, we must believe Jesus is the SON of GOD, and nothing about believing in the trinity or that Jesus is the GOD, or the same person as the GOD.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the
SON of God?
1 John 5:5.
Notice how 1 John 5:5 continues to confirm with Jesus in John 17:3, and John 20:31, and St Paul in 1 Corinthians 8:6, confirming Jesus is the SON of GOD ONLY, and nothing about Jesus being the GOD and the same person as the ONLY GOD.
We now come to the greatest ‘commandment’ by Jesus clearly stating we must hear and understand: THE LORD GOD IS ONE.
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:29.
Notice again, there is nothing in Mark 12:29, about the ONLY GOD being 2 or 3 persons, or 2 or 3 persons being ONE PERSON or GOD, or Jesus is the GOD, or the same person as the GOD.
And there is nothing in Mark 12:29, saying we must believe in the trinity, or Jesus is the GOD to be saved.
Many Trinitarians will say Jesus said: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
John 8:24 King James Bible.
Trinitarians are correct as Jesus did say: if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins
Trinitarians also say, unless we believe Jesus is GOD, or a trinity, we are not and will not be saved.

IS GOD ONE PERSON OR THREE?
Let us have a look?
King James Bible
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5.
Notice how 1 Timothy 2:5, clearly separates the ONE GOD, with the ONE person who is the man Christ Jesus.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Galatians 3:20.
Notice how Galatians 3:20, again makes it very clear, GOD IS ONE PERSON and NOT 2 or 3.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 1 Corinthians 8:4
Notice how 1 Corinthians 8:4, says: there is NONE OTHER GOD BUT ONE.
If Jesus was GOD, that would make TWO GODS side by side.
And as Jesus is now ‘side by side’ with His GOD, then Jesus cannot be that same GOD.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the (BOSOM) of the Father, he hath declared him. John 1:18.
Notice how John 1:18, says: Jesus the only begotten Son, is in the (BOSOM) of the Father.
Trinitarians believe John 1:18, proves that Jesus and GOD are the same person, which is impossible, because there would be two GODS side by side.
Jesus could not be God Himself, as this would contradict GOD and His Son’s own teachings when Jesus always said, there is ONLY ONE GOD, and He is the only ONE BEGOTTEN SON of GOD.
If Jesus was claiming to be GOD?
Then why didn’t Jesus simply say (i am who i am) as in Exodus 3:14.
But instead Jesus only said (i am) when all Jesus needed to say was (I AM WHO I AM) which would confirm He was GOD.
DID JESUS OR THE DISCIPLES TEACH THE TRINITY?
It is interesting to note, none of the disciples including Jesus Himself ever said anything about God being 3 in 1. Surly if the trinity doctrine was correct, the most important people who wrote the Bible and walked with Jesus would have known and taught this in the gospels more then once and many, many times.

WHAT ABOUT 1 JOHN 5:7 WHICH PROVES THE TRINITY?

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
In fact the trinity is nowhere in the whole Bible except in 1 John 5:7, which is said to be forgery and is not found in the Greek manuscript, and apparently Trinitarian scholars admit the verse was not written by St John.
There we see something fishy going on with dishonest people, as who added this later, to fool people into believing in the trinity. And how many more verses have been changed, by bias dishonest people?

Most are confused with what Jesus said,
I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE. John 10:30.
And believe this proves Jesus and the Father are ONE God.
I used to believe this saying of Jesus meant He and God are ONE God.
But then this contradicts Jesus own techings, many, many times throughout the Bible, when He said countless times, He is the SON of God and there is only ONE True God, meaning (A CREATED GOD).
Of course Jesus is true, in every way, but He clearly made this point so many times by saying: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Notice in that verse, how Jesus said (the only true God) and then Himself at the end of His statment saying (and Jesus Christ)
He excluded Himself from (the only true God)
I believe when Jesus said: I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE. John 10:30.
Jesus did not mean ‘oneness in number’ or ONE GOD, but simply meant they are both in complete agreement, harmony and purpose, as a Father and Son.

DID JESUS ‘CORRECT’ THE JEWS WHEN THAY CLAIMED JESUS WAS CLAIMING TO BE A GOD?
I have been debating many Trinitarians on my, Is Jesus God? Video.
Thay seem to forget, I was a Trinitarian.
Here is my research and comment I returned.
Andrew said - If they really misunderstood his message, he could have corrected them.
Tim said - He NEVER...I repeat..NEVER corrected them...or ANYONE...who treated him as God.
Thay both have good and valid points. So it is important to reaserch this fact.
And this fact is clearly still misunderstood by millions of Christians today.
Both Andrew and Tim clearly believe Jesus never ‘corrected the Jews’ when and after the Jews said - “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” John 10:33.
Let us NOT believe what we want to believe, but open our hearts and minds, and believe and understand and read what Jesus said from His own lips. Agreed?
Now, let us continue with what Jesus said, directly after John 10:33. There we will see and understand if Jesus 'corrected’ the Jews who said He claimed to be God, which will also answer the question, (WHY DID JESUS NOT CORRECT THE JEWS IF HE WAS NOT CLAIMING TO BE A GOD?)
JOHN 34 -36.
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods” 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came and Scripture cannot be set aside 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?
Now, we clearly see above, Jesus did in fact ‘CORRECT’ the Jews.
Are you saying where?
Here is where Jesus CORRECTED the Jews.
“Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”
35 If he called them ‘gods,’ John.
Jesus was referring to (Psalm 82:6) which says -
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. King James Bible.
Jesus was referring to (gods) as in the sense of Magistrates and Prophets and judges, appointed by the word of GOD.
Jesus WAS referring to (HIS DEITY)
Jesus was NOT claiming to be as GOD THE FATHER, (UNCREATED) But as (a God) like Magistrates and Prophets and judges, appointed by GOD.
But the Jews did not understand this, or did not believe Jesus as always. and also some were NOT interested in the truth.
Below Jesus confirmed, there were Jews who were not interested in the truth.
1“ Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.
John 10:1 - 6.
This is why 25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” John 10:25 – 30.
If we look at the last statement by Jesus, in John 36. There we see, Jesus confirms His DEITY, yet again, by saying, Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, I AM THE SON OF GOD.
Jesus never, ever claimed to be as GOD his Father (UNCREATED)
BUT always the SON of GOD His Father (BORN) BEGOTTEN from His Father.
Jesus always claimed to be in ‘complete agreement’ and in complete ‘harmony’ with His Father, which is why He said,
I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.
And I hope you can now see Jesus DID in fact CORRECT the Jews regarding His DEITY.

WHY DOES 1 JOHN 5:20 SAY JESUS IS GOD.
I believe people are misunderstanding what St John is saying. Please see below.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, (FATHER GOD)
and we are in him that is true, (FATHER GOD) even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, (ONE-FATHER GOD) and eternal life. I John 5:20.
Now if we read: John 17:3, we can see, St John is making the same statement as 1 John 5:20.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee (FATHER GOD) the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Please notice below it says the same thing as above, that Jesus: he hath declared him. (FATHER GOD) And this is what: I John 5:20 is also about.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
There is no contradiction here, all the verses are talking about St John, who is talking about Jesus Christ, who is declaring His Father God, who is the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

I now believe it is easy to understand, who God sent to die and save HUMANS. GOD sent His SON. GOD did not send Himself, but His ONE and only SON.
If GOD sent Himself, then GOD was lying, because GOD made it very clear, He sent His SON Jesus, NOT Himself. If Jesus IS GOD, then He was also lying because He told us 100's of times, He is GODS SON, and NOT GOD.
IF GOD split Himself into 3 GODS, then GOD would have told us He is THREE PERONS, but instead GOD told us countless times He is ONE PERSON, and the only ONE TRUE GOD ALONE, who created everything on His own alone, and that there is NO OTHRE GOD NEXT TO HIM, proving Jesus is NOT GOD, and that Jesus was not next to GOD before He was BORN from Mary.
This is why GOD sent His ONE and ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to prove how much GOD loves humans, that He literally SACRIFICED His ONLY SON, who cannot be GOD, otherwise JESUS could NOT be GODS SON, if Jesus was GOD.
FACT.
GOD and Jesus cannot lie.
GOD and Jesus said there is only ONE GOD, and NOT 2 or 3 GODS, and ONLY ONE BEGOTTEN SON.
I now ask the Trinitarians.
PLEASE show me ONE verse in the whole Bible saying you must believe Jesus is GOD to be SAVED?
PLEASE show me ONE verse in the whole of the Bible saying you must believe in the TRINITY to be SAVED.
I will now show you ONE verse out of many showing you what YOU must BELIEVE to be SAVED.
And this is LIFE ETERNAL, that they might know thee the ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. John 17:3.
If you cannot find ONE SINGLE verse in the WHOLE of the Bible, saying you must believe in the TRINITY, or Jesus is GOD, then it is time to repent and believe what Jesus taught: this is LIFE ETERNAL, that they might know thee the ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. AND BE SAVED. Amen.
HOW TO RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE.
Eternal life does NOT come by believing Jesus is GOD and Jesus is the Father. This is a GREAT deception by Satan.
Jesus said COUNTLESS times, I AM GODS SON. And His Father is ONE GOD, NOT 2 or 3.
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:29.
Jesus said YOU must believe, He is GODS SON, and His Father is the only GOD, to be saved.

There are countless verses like above that simply demonstrate Jesus IS the SON, MESSIAH, and SAVIOUR.
Which all confirm with Jesus teaching in John 8:24, when He said: (i am He) meaning He is the SON, MESSIAH, and SAVIOUR.
There yet again, is NOTHING about believing in the man made TRINITY and Jesus is GOD.
Jesus taught He is GODS SON, and never said He was GOD and the Father.
“I am” is the Greek idiom for “I am he,” I am the one.
Did the blind man in 9:9 say “I am God”!!!!
“its me” is the meaning as everyone should know.

Satan, which deceiveth the WHOLE WORLD.
Satan comes only to steal, kill and destroy, he has planted many deadly traps and deceptions in the Christian world, to stop Christians receiving eternal life.
This is why Jesus said the road to heaven is narrow.
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:24.
Did you notice that shocking statement by Jesus? Many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Jesus is talking about millions of Christians who believe they are saved, and will find they are not, because Satan has deceived them from the truth.
Never, ever depart from what Jesus said and taught.
Jesus never, ever said we MUST believe in a trinity or believe He is GOD to be saved.
Jesus said the opposite.
Jesus said we must believe His Father is ONE God, NOT 2 or 3, or 3 are 1.
Jesus said countless times,
He is the SON of GOD ONLY, and GOD and His Father is GOD ONLY, which we must BELIVE ONLY, to have life eternal.
John 17:3.
