Philippians 2:6. Yet Again Used As Another TRINITARIAN DECEPTION and misunderstanding.

Philippians 2:6. Yet Again Used As Another TRINITARIAN DECEPTION and misunderstanding.

Part 1

Part 2

Quick Facts:

We humans are in the (form) of our parents.
We are never the same person as our mum or dad; although we have the SAME NATURE.
And our Mum and Dad are both each unique.
As Jesus is in the (form) of His GOD. Philippians 2:6.
Jesus is NOT that same GOD, but has the SAME NATURE as His GOD.

As no one is like GOD, in that He is the ONLY TRUE GOD,  and GOD alone, which makes Him one of a kind, being truly unique, which is why He said there is no one like Him.

remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isaiah 46:9.

Just as Jesus is in the FORM of His GOD, this makes Him the only BEGOTTEN Son of His GOD, being truly unique, and none like Him.

FULL ARTICLE:

English Standard Version
who, though he was, in the form, of God, did not count equality with God, a thing to be grasped,

What do  TRINITARIANS believe and teach regarding what St Paul has said in Philippians 2:6?

New Living Translation.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

Now let us see what, Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible, says and believes?

1 he is the  the Jehovah I am what I am; and so is his Son, and describes Christ as he was from all eternity.
so his being in the form of God intends that he was really and truly God;

Who being in the form of God,.... The Father; being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person. This form is to be understood, not of any shape or figure of him; for as such is not to be seen, it is not to be supposed of him; or any accidental form, for there are no accidents in God, whatever is in God, is God; he is nothing but nature and essence, he is the the Jehovah, I am what I am; and so is his Son which is, and was, and is to come, the fountain of all created beings nor does it intend any outward representation and resemblance of him, such as in kings; who, because of the honour and dignity they are raised unto, the authority and power they have, and because of the glory and majesty they are arrayed with, are called gods: nor does it design the state and condition Christ appeared in here on earth, having a power to work miracles, heal diseases, and dispossess devils, for the manifestation of his glory; and so might be said to be in the form of God, as Moses for doing less miracles is said to be a God unto Pharaoh; since this account does not regard Christ; as he was on earth in human nature, but what he was antecedent to the assumption of it; or otherwise his humility and condescension in becoming man, and so mean, will not appear: but this phrase, "the form of God", is to be understood of the nature and essence of God, and describes Christ as he was from all eternity; just as the form of a servant signifies that he was really a servant, and the fashion of a man in which he was found means that he was truly and really man; so his being in the form of God intends that he was really and truly God; that he partook of the same nature with the Father, and was possessed of the same glory: from whence it appears, that he was in being before his incarnation; that he existed as a distinct person from God his Father, in whose form he was, and that as a divine person, or as truly God, being in the glorious form, nature, and essence of God; and that there is but one form of God, or divine nature and essence, common to the Father and the Son, and also to the Spirit; so that they are not three Gods, but one God: what the form of God is, the Heathens themselves (g) say cannot be comprehended nor seen, and so not to be inquired after; and they use the same word the apostle does here (h): and now Christ being in this glorious form, or having the same divine nature with the Father, with all the infinite and unspeakable glories of it,

As we have seen, Trinitarian teachers say and believe St Paul was teaching the SON Jesus, is The ONE TRUE GOD ALMIGHTY.
Which is the reason why Trinitarians use Philippians 2:6 to prove Jesus the SON, is The ONE TRUE GOD ALMIGHTY.

However, I Simple Simon will reveal a SIMPLE truth and prove there are NO contradictions by St Paul who only ever taught and always said: there is but ONE GOD ALONE, who is the Father.

yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
1 Corinthians 8:6.

I will show how there is ONLY ONE POSSIBLE WAY Philippians 2:6 could POSSIBLY teach Jesus is GOD.

And the only way to make this verse say and prove Jesus is GOD ALMIGHTY, is by doing what TRINITARIANS very often do by altering what the verse truly says.

So for a moment I will go back to being a TRINITARIAN.
And he will alter the verse by St Paul.

Notice, in the oldest Bible available we read: Jesus Christ (who in form) GOD. Philippians 2:6.

Philippians 2:6.

However, in order to truly believe St Paul is teaching Jesus is GOD ALMIGHTY, we now need to alter the verse, and REMOVE, THREE WORDS.

So lets REMOVE the THREE WORDS: (who in form).

Notice what we now read: Jesus Christ GOD.

who, though he was God, did not count equality with God, a thing to be grasped,

DID YOU NOTICE?

If the THREE WORDS: (who in form) were NOT in St Paul’s verse we would know for sure Paul was teaching Jesus IS GOD ALMIGHTY.

Because as we have seen, the verse would say: English Standard Version
who, though he was, did not count equality with God, a thing to be grasped,

We now return the missing words: (in the form), and have a look in the King James Bible translation:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Notice in this unusual case, for a change, the King James Bible translators, have NOT changed the verse, but instead, give us a reliable translation, from the oldest Greek Bible  which have the THREE WORDS: (in the form).

Philippians 2:6

As we have just seen in Philippians 2:6 St Paul has included the words: (who in form), or (in the form).

And it is these very THREE WORDS: (in the form), that St Paul has added in FRONT of (GOD), is the Golden KEY to understanding this SIMPLE truth.

That single word (form), Greek word, (μορφῇ), in front of the word GOD, is NOT teaching us Jesus is GOD.
But on the contrary.

Because if St Paul was teaching us Jesus is GOD, there would be no need for St Paul to add in the words (form), Greek word, (μορφῇ), in front of the word GOD. But just simply say: Who being God.
And NOT: Who, being in the (form) of God.

So then what is St Paul teaching us by the fact he has added in the word (form), Greek word, (μορφῇ), in front of the word GOD?

But first notice the meaning of (form),
THE VISIBLE SHAPE.
Strong's Concordance
morphé: form, shape
Original Word: μορφή, ῆς, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: morphé
Phonetic Spelling: (mor-fay')
Definition: form, shape
Usage: form, shape, outward appearance.
HELPS Word-studies

But what was the meaning of Paul adding in the word (form), in front of the word GOD?

The answer is given by St Paul himself which is identical with his other teachings like: Colossians 1:15, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Hebrews 1:3, and Colossians 2:9.

Let’s have a look?

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Colossians 1:15.

In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4.

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.
Hebrews 1:3.

Did you notice what St Paul just said in the end there: and the exact imprint of his nature, Hebrews 1:3.

Now lets put Philippians 2:6 together with St Paul's other teachings.

Who, though he was in the (form) of God. ESV.
He is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15
who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. Hebrews 1:3.

We can now clearly see that St Paul was not contradicting his teachings, or teaching anything new by now saying Jesus is GOD.
But instead St Paul was teaching the same as he does in his other teachings.

St Paul was teaching Jesus is the image, and the exact imprint, and nature of His GOD.
Which is precisely why Paul said: Who, though he was in the (form) of God. ESV.
St Paul was talking about Jesus being the SAME NATURE as GOD.

If some one is the image of someone, then they are clearly not the same one person.

Just as we are the image of our parents and are never the same person as our parents.

The difference is Jesus is BORN DIRECTLY from His Father GOD which gives Jesus 100% of His GOD’s NATURE.

This is why St Paul said: Who, though he was in the (form) of God. ESV.
He is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15
who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. Hebrews 1:3.

As Jesus is the image of His GOD, He therefore can’t be that SAME GOD.

St Paul taught: For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:29

We become conformed to the image of Jesus, and we are never GOD.

Notice what the other better translations of Philippians 2:6 say, who add the word (nature)?

New International Version
Who, being in very (nature) God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

Good News Translation
He always had the (nature) of God, but he did not think that by force he should try to remain equal with God.

Weymouth New Testament
Although from the beginning He had the (nature) of God He did not reckon His equality with God a treasure to be tightly grasped.

Notice the Strong's Concordance.
morphé: form, shape
Original Word: μορφή, ῆς, ἡ
Definition: form, shape, outward appearance.

Jesus has the identical character and divine qualities and NATURE as His GOD, and that’s what St Paul was teaching in Philippians 2:6.

But even though Jesus has the same NATURE as His GOD, He is NOT the same ONE TRUE GOD which is why GOD is teaching there is no one like Him, meaning NO TRUE GOD like Him: To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing. Isaiah 40:25,26.

Which is why Jesus said His Father is the only true GOD, John 17:3.
Which is why St Paul always taught: yet for us there is one God, the Father.
1 Corinthians 8:6.

Jesus is the only person who was BORN directly from His GOD, which is why Jesus has the same form, shape, outward appearance, imprint and character, divine qualities and NATURE as His GOD.

But why do all the translations of Philippians 2:6, teach Jesus Is Equal with GOD?
But he did not try to remain equal with God, says: the Contemporary English Version.

did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, English Standard Version

did not consider equality with God something to cling to, Berean Study Bible

did not consider to be equal with God something to be grasped. Berean Literal Bible

did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped. New American Standard Bible

thought it not robbery to be equal with God. King James Bible

did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited. Christian Standard Bible

St Paul was again NOT contradicting what Jesus taught that Jesus is equal with GOD, as the Trinity faith wrongly teach, but instead was teaching exactly the same as Jesus always taught, that Jesus did not count equality with God, because Jesus never claimed to be equal with His GOD, but instead always gave the glory to His Father by always declaring GOD was greater then Him and could do nothing on His own, confirming He was NOT equal with God, proving He is NOT GOD.

St Paul was saying: Jesus, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped.
In other words, all though Jesus is just like His GOD, He never, ever took any glory, but always gave His Father the glory.

We finish with another teaching by St Paul in Colossians 2:9.
And what we find again is a virtually identical teaching by St Paul saying:
For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.

Which is yet another verse Trinitarians use and say proved Jesus is GOD ALMIGHTY.

However what we find again
The PRECISE and EXACT meaning of what St Paul was teaching here in Colossians 2:9 is perfectly translated in the Holman Christian Standard Bible. Colossians 2:9:

Colossians 2:9:

For the entire fullness of God's nature dwells bodily in Christ.
We again, read the same and EXACT meaning and teaching by St Paul.
For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. Colossians 2:9.
Who, though he was in the (form) of God. ESV.
He is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15
who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature. Hebrews 1:3.

St Paul was always teaching the same divine truth.
There is NOTHING whatsoever here by St Paul contradicting his own teachings by teaching Jesus is GOD, or a Trinity, or a “tritheism” (three Gods).

But on the contrary, we easily see St Paul is teaching what he has always taught in other scriptures that GOD is GOD alone, and GOD’s Son Jesus has an IDENTICAL nature and the same divine attributes as His Father GOD.

And this is why Jesus said: If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:7.

Because: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15
Who, though he was in the (form) of God.  Philippians 2:6. ESV.
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. Colossians 1:19.
GOD was pleased to dwell in His Son, because His Son is the image of Himself.
and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17.

Conclusion.

Which is why GOD is the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, and GOD alone, which makes Him one of a kind, being truly unique, which is why He said there is no one like Him.
Just as Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN Son of His GOD, being truly unique,

Notice the clear CONTRADICTION by the Trinity faith?

Because they say that Jesus and the father are EQUAL in every way?

Jesus is in the visible human (form) of His GOD.
Jesus is the exact REPRESENTATION of His Father GOD, which is why Jesus said, Whoever has seen me has seen the Father,

But Jesus is not the ONE TRUE invisible GOD, as there is only ONE TRUE invisible GOD, that’s why there is NO one LIKE GOD, who is a TRUE GOD, which is what makes GOD Almighty (The only TRUE Almighty GOD).

St Paul never, ever contradicted his own teachings regarding who GOD and Jesus are.

If there seem to be any contradictions, then Paul's teachings are being misunderstood, or taken out of context, or the verse is a false translation.

St Paul was a monotheist, and always taught GOD is the ONE TRUE GOD alone, and never more then one person.

St Paul always taught Jesus is the literal Son of His GOD, and GOD is His LITERAL FATHER.
Which would be impossible if GOD and His Son were the SAME GOD.

St Paul always taught Jesus has the identical NATURE and divine attributes as His Father GOD.

St Paul never ever taught we must believe Jesus is GOD to be saved.

St Paul always taught Jesus as the divine Son.

St Paul always gave the glory, praises and thanks to GOD the Father through Jesus.

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39.

But why cant Trinitarians understand these simple teaching by St Paul?
Because Trinitarians are LITERALLY trapped in their own PRIDE which has caused their hearts to grow dull.

For this people’s heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’ Matthew 13:15.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
2 Timothy 4:3,4.
