Thank
you for joining me in this new year of 2016. Last year, I presented many
articles containing evidence both from the Bible and contemporary historians who
wrote about Christians and Jesus when discussing the Bible’s accounts. If you
have just joined my mailing list, or have clicked on this page, you can read
the many articles here.
I
recently read about a Bible scholar who very sadly turned from his faith – this
is another Bible prophecy being fulfilled: ‘Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.’ 1 Timothy 4:1. King James Bible.
Please pray that these people will come back to Jesus, while there is still
time.
On
the other hand, there are many encouraging stories of extreme atheists who have
changed their minds about their belief in God. For instance, we have all read
and heard about the English ethologist, evolutionary biologist, and writer,
atheist Richard Dawkins, who states: “I am against religion because it teaches
us to be satisfied with not understanding the world.” This is a peculiar
statement when you think that the Bible gives us specific answers regarding how
and why we are here, and how the world became to be. This can be compared to
the unproven theory of evolution, which is clearly a mistaken belief, based on
enormous deceptions and the failure of logic, reasoning, and understanding of
the truth. This renders evolution invalid, because it consists of a range of
elaborate hoaxes. I wrote a popular article called Is There Valid and True Evidence to Support Natural Selection Proving Evolution? which you can read if you’d like to find out more.
Richard
Dawkins is a well-known sceptic, but there is an interesting man who was
probably a greater sceptic than even him, and his is a fascinating story. His
name was Antony Flew – one of the world’s leading atheists – and he recently
died. Just before he passed, however, he changed his mind; as he was closing
his eyes, he started to see the light, started to think about the complex DNA
in the building blocks of life, and he realised that life couldn’t simply have
come about by random chance. He came to accept, in his last moments, that an
intelligent mind had to have designed every living creature. It is said that he
didn’t become a Christian exactly, but that he did discover more than most
atheists discovered in their life – a belief in the existence of a supreme being,
specifically of a creator.
You
