What is evolution?

The modern theory of evolution teaches that all living things share a common ancestor. According to this view, life began as a simple single-celled organism billions of years ago. Over immense periods of time, random genetic mutations and natural selection produced the vast diversity of life we see today, including fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, apes, and ultimately human beings.

Evolutionary biologist Jerry Coyne summarizes the theory this way:

"Life on Earth evolved gradually beginning with one primitive species; it then branched out over time, throwing off many new and diverse species, and the mechanism for most evolutionary change is natural selection."

This is the foundation of evolutionary theory.

Can this theory be questioned?

Science advances by questioning ideas and testing evidence. Throughout history, scientific theories have been revised as new discoveries have been made. Evolutionary biology is no exception. Scientists continue to debate many aspects of evolutionary history, including the origins of major body plans, the pace of evolutionary change, and the mechanisms responsible for biological complexity.

For me, one of the greatest questions remains unanswered:

How did highly organized, information-rich life originate?

My Simple Observation

I believe the answer is found, not by looking billions of years into the past, but by looking at what every human being already knows.

Every one of us knows how human life begins.

Every day, throughout the world, new life begins through the union of a father and a mother.

A single sperm fertilises a single egg.

From that moment, an entirely new human life begins.

The Miracle of Human Life

The sperm cell and egg each contain extraordinarily complex DNA.

When they unite, they form a complete genetic blueprint unlike any other human who has ever lived.

Within only a few weeks:

• A beating heart develops.

• The brain begins forming.

• Eyes, ears, fingers and toes appear.

• Millions of cells divide in perfect order.

• Every organ develops according to a precise genetic program.

All of this happens in only a matter of months—not millions of years.

DNA: The Blueprint of Life

DNA contains the biological information necessary for building every cell in the human body.

It is one of the most sophisticated information-storage systems known.

The instructions contained within DNA guide the development of the entire body from a single fertilised egg.

This remarkable process raises an important question:

Where did this enormous amount of biological information originally come from?

Different worldviews answer that question differently.

Those who accept evolution generally believe that genetic information accumulated gradually through mutation and natural selection over vast periods of time.

Those who believe in creation see DNA as evidence of purposeful design by an intelligent Creator.

The Female Reproductive System

The female reproductive system is another example of extraordinary biological complexity.

It includes:

• ovaries,

• fallopian tubes,

• uterus,

• placenta,

• hormones,

• blood supply,

• immune protection,

• and countless coordinated biological processes.

Each part works together with remarkable precision to support new human life.

For me, this level of integrated complexity points to design rather than accident.

What We Can Observe

Unlike theories about the distant past, human reproduction is directly observable.

Every day we see:

• sperm fertilising an egg,

• DNA directing development,

• babies growing in the womb,

• children born in the likeness of their parents.

Human beings reproduce after their own kind.

Dogs produce dogs.

Cats produce cats.

Birds produce birds.

Human beings produce human beings.

While populations can change and adapt over time, I do not believe the observable evidence demonstrates one fundamental kind of organism transforming into an entirely different kind.

That is one of the reasons I remain unconvinced by universal common ancestry.

A Spiritual Perspective

The Bible teaches that human life is not an accident.

It declares that God is our Creator and that every person is wonderfully made.

Isaiah writes:

"Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: 'I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by Myself.'"
Isaiah 44:24

King David similarly wrote:

"For You formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Psalm 139:13–14

To me, these passages harmonize with the astonishing complexity we observe in every human birth.

Conclusion

Every one of us began the same way.

Not as a gradually transforming organism over millions of years, but as a fertilised egg carrying an extraordinary amount of genetic information.

Whether one believes this information ultimately arose through natural evolutionary processes or through the work of a Creator is a matter of worldview and interpretation of the evidence.

My conclusion is that the complexity, organisation, and information contained within DNA—and the remarkable development of every human life from conception to birth—are more consistent with intelligent design than with unguided evolution.

For that reason, I believe the testimony of Scripture:

"I am Yahweh, who makes all things... who alone stretches out the heavens... who spreads out the earth by Myself."
Isaiah 44:24

Alien life on Pluto is not a far-fetched possibility, according to Professor Brian Cox.  In an interview with The Times, Cox explained how recent images captured by the New Horizons probe could act as evidence for life on the dwarf planet.  “The probe ‘ howed you that there may well be a subsurface ocean on Pluto,” he told The Times. Is Cox starting to realise the highly complex DNA the building blocks of life and this beautiful remarkable planet full of life and wonders could NOT be started by a mere accident.

I’m no  Professor, yet understand this easy fact.

How true and reliable Jesus was when He said: In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

    you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. Matthew 13:14.

Does it pay to be a Professor? Look at Cox and we have the answer,  instead be wise, look and believe in Jesus and we will know what Professors like Cox don’t know.

          One does (not) need to be a claver scientist to see how Charles Darwin's statement is truly wrong.

Elizabeth Cotton, Lady Hope

Lady Hope in 1887

Elizabeth Reid Cotton,^[1] Lady Hope (9 December 1842 – 8 March 1922) was a British evangelist who encouraged women preaching to men and the Temperance movement.

In 1915, Hope claimed to have visited the British naturalist Charles Darwin shortly before his death in 1882, during which interview Hope said Darwin spoke of second thoughts about publicising the theory of evolution. That Hope visited Darwin is possibly true, though her interpretation of what Darwin said at the putative interview is much less likely.^[2]

Biography

Elizabeth Cotton was born in 1842 in Tasmania, Australia, the daughter of British irrigation engineer, General Sir Arthur Cotton, and spent her childhood in Madras, India, while her father supervised water management and canal projects in Andhra Pradesh. Returning to England on her father's retirement in 1861, the family resided in Hadley Green and came under the influence of the Rev. William Pennefather, an evangelical Anglican clergyman. Cotton also meet many contemporary evangelicals during a three-year stay in Ireland.^[3]

In 1869 the family settled in Dorking, Surrey—about 12 miles from Downe, home of Charles Darwin—where Elizabeth began evangelistic and philanthropic work, first organising a Sunday school and then a "Coffee-Room," where food and non-alcoholic drinks were served. (She advocated total abstinence.^[4]) Cotton held Bible classes and prayer meetings in the hall, and spoke at a Sunday evening service. A contemporary reported that she had "a pleasing, engaging manner and silvery voice, and her message was simple."^[5] In 1874–75, Cotton assisted in the evangelistic meetings held by American evangelists Dwight L. Moody and Ira Sankey, counselling women converts.^[6]

In 1877, at the age of 35, she married a widower, retired Admiral Sir James Hope, an evangelical and temperance advocate who was 34 years her senior. Cotton therefore became Lady Hope of Carriden. Sir James died four years later.

Thereafter Lady Hope opened several additional coffee houses and settled in London where she became involved in the work of the Golden Bells Mission in Notting Hill Gate. She was a prolific author, writing more than thirty books "which dealt with evangelistic and temperance themes," many containing "personal anecdotes reminiscent of the Darwin story."^[7]

In 1893, she married T. A. Denny, an evangelical Irish businessman, 24 years her senior—though she continued to use the name "Lady Hope." She and Denny opened hostels for working men and provided accommodation for soldiers returned from the Boer War. Her father died in 1899, after which she published a biography.^[8] After Denny died in 1909, Hope was taken advantage of by an ex-convict whom she befriended and to whom she entrusted her finances. In 1911 she was declared bankrupt.^[9]

In 1915, 33 years after Darwin's death and shortly after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Hope told her story about her meeting with Darwin at a Bible conference in Northfield, Massachusetts. In 1922, Hope died in Sydney, where she is buried.

Lady Hope's story first appeared in an American Baptist newspaper, the Watchman-Examiner, on 15 August 1915, the story preceded by a four-page report on the summer Bible conference held in Northfield, which that year ran from 30 July to 15 August 1915.^[10]

Original text

It was one of those glorious autumn afternoons, that we sometimes enjoy in England, when I was asked to go in and sit with the well known professor, Charles Darwin. He was almost bedridden for some months before he died. I used to feel when I saw him that his fine presence would make a grand picture for our Royal Academy; but never did I think so more strongly than on this particular occasion.

He was sitting up in bed, wearing a soft embroidered dressing gown, of rather a rich purple shade.

Propped up by pillows, he was gazing out on a far-stretching scene of woods and cornfields, which glowed in the light of one of those marvelous sunsets which are the beauty of Kent and Surrey. His noble forehead and fine features seem to be lit up with pleasure as I entered the room.

He waved his hand toward the window as he pointed out the scene beyond, while in the other hand he held an open Bible, which he was always studying.

"What are you reading now?" I asked as I seated myself beside his bedside. "Hebrews!" he answered – "still Hebrews. 'The Royal Book' I call it. Isn't it grand?"

Then, placing his finger on certain passages, he commented on them.

I made some allusions to the strong opinions expressed by many persons on the history of the creation, its grandeur, and then their treatment of the earlier chapters of the Book of Genesis.

He seemed greatly distressed, his fingers twitched nervously, and a look of agony came over his face as he said: "I was a young man with unformed ideas. I threw out queries, suggestions, wondering all the time over everything, and to my astonishment, the ideas took like wildfire. People made a religion of them."

Then he paused, and after a few more sentences on "the holiness of God" and the "grandeur of this book," looking at the Bible which he was holding tenderly all the time, he suddenly said: "I have a summer house in the garden which holds about thirty people. It is over there," pointing through the open window. "I want you very much to speak there. I know you read the Bible in the villages. To-morrow afternoon I should like the servants on the place, some tenants and a few of the neighbours; to gather there. Will you speak to them?"

"What shall I speak about?" I asked.

"Christ Jesus!" he replied in a clear, emphatic voice, adding in a lower tone, "and his salvation. Is not that the best theme? And then I want you to sing some hymns with them. You lead on your small instrument, do you not?" The wonderful look of brightness and animation on his face as he said this I shall never forget, for he added: "If you take the meeting at three o'clock this window will be open, and you will know that I am joining in with the singing."

How I wished I could have made a picture of the fine old man and his beautiful surroundings on that memorable day!

Rebuttal by Darwin's children

Everyone in Darwin's family denied the validity of the story.^[11] In 1918, Darwin's son Francis wrote that "Lady Hope's account of my father's views on religion is quite untrue. I have publicly accused her of falsehood, but have not seen any reply. My father's agnostic point of view is given in my Life and Letters of Charles Darwin, Vol. I., pp. 304–317. You are at liberty to publish the above statement. Indeed, I shall be glad if you will do so." In 1922, Darwin's daughter, Henrietta Litchfield, said she did not believe Lady Hope had ever seen her father and that "he never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. We think the story of his conversion was fabricated in the U.S.A."^[12] Leonard, Darwin's last surviving child, dismissed Lady Hope's account as a "hallucination" (1930) and "purely fictitious" (1934).^[13]

Subsequent retellings and investigations

Lady Hope gave the fullest account of her story in a letter written (circa 1919–20) to S. James Bole, who first published it in 1940.^[14] The story became a popular legend, and Hope's claims were republished as late as October 1955 in the Reformation Review and in the Monthly Record of the Free Church of Scotland in February 1957.

In 1925, J. W. C. Fegan, an evangelist and sometime associate of Lady Hope, commented on her character to one S. J. Pratt, who was investigating the story. Fegan said that although Darwin had certainly been an agnostic, he was also "an honourable, courteous, benevolent gentleman." In contrast, Fegan noted that after Hope had been "adjudicated bankrupt," she had asked him for "a commendatory letter to take with her to America, and it was my painful duty to tell her that I did not feel I could do so."^[15]

In 1994 Open University lecturer and biographer James Moore published The Darwin Legend, in which he suggested that Hope had visited Darwin sometime between 28 September and 2 October 1881, when Francis and Henrietta were absent and Charles' wifeEmma was present, but that Hope had subsequently embellished the story.^[16] Moore argued that the Lady Hope story bore "all the hallmarks of Lady Hope's anecdotal imagination. Years of tract and novel writing had made her a skilled raconteur, able to summon up poignant scenes and conversations, and embroider them with sentimental spirituality. The distinction between fact and fancy in her writings was never well defined. In her dotage now, she was even less likely to be hard-headed about history. Disgraced in England, displaced in America, she had only a short time before her cancer proved fatal. With everything to gain, what better than to trade off her title, ingratiate herself with 'impressionable' Americans, and launch an edifying myth?"^[17]

I Simon Brown and my wife Emma have visited Darwin's house our self, and did some research on the summer house and discovered there is a large out house that fits 30 people perfectly, which is just opposite Darwin's bedroom window where he could easily see and hear the singing as Lady Hope said.

I believe his family could of easily kept this all a secret, as it would be an embarrassment for him to work all his life trying to disprove God, and then admit he was wrong, or his family to do so. However his wife was a firm believer. Sadly what ever the case, Darwin has already done more damage than anyone could imagine. And in any case this story would not make any difference to the majority, if the story be true or false.

Research by many, including new fossil records, have now proved Darwin's theories were totally incorrect. Sadly it is to late for the millions who have already died in their sins who believed and followed Darwin's theory, who have now lost their souls to hell.
But its not to late for believers to warn others. Let all born again believes remember the words of Jude when he said: 
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 1:21 - 24.

For more than a century, millions of people have been taught that human beings evolved from a common ancestor through a long process of evolution. Today, this is presented in many schools, universities, documentaries, and textbooks as established science.

One of the best-known illustrations of this idea is the familiar sequence showing an ape gradually changing into a modern human. This image has become one of the most recognizable scientific illustrations in the world.

But does the fossil evidence actually support that picture?

One of the most debated questions concerns the so-called "missing links"—the hypothetical transitional fossils that would demonstrate a gradual evolutionary pathway between major groups of organisms.

Many people have believed that these missing links were discovered long ago. Yet the subject remains debated, and scientists continue to discuss how the fossil record should be interpreted.

Throughout this article, I will present the reasons why I believe the evidence does not support the claim that humans evolved from ape-like ancestors. I will also explain why I believe the complexity of life, the universe, fulfilled biblical prophecy, archaeology, and the teachings of Scripture point instead to an intelligent Creator.

As always, I encourage every reader to examine the evidence carefully, test every claim, and come to their own conclusion.

Is Evolution FACT?  FACT.  Most schools now teach children that Evolution is fact. FACT.  Most of the population now believe Evolution is fact. What is Evolution? Evolution means change over time, and refers to observed changes in organisms, to their descent from a common ancestor, and at a technical level to a change in gene frequency over time. Wikipedia, Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia states. Many scientists and philosophers of science have described evolution as fact and theory, a phrase which was used as the title of an article by Stephen Jay Gould in 1981.  Atheists believe Evolution is a fact in the sense that it is overwhelmingly validated by the evidence and facts. In the very popular image below seen in millions of books and articles all over the world, we see probably one of the most seen images and diagrams ''ever''. This image and diagram is the main visible image used to promote and teach the human race that Evolution is a fact . Lets now look closely to this very popular image and diagram. We can very easily see an ape believed by most to be our common ancestor, that many believe changes over millions of years and slowly becomes a human being.  However there is a very interesting fact in this next image.  WHY? LOOK at the ''four images'' in the centre. Please feel free to share this image above. Yes that's right, these very popular photos always (show)  ''THE MISSING LINKS''  (ARE NOT MISSING) WHEN THEY ARE MISSING. The Missing links have never ever been discovered. Yet we see Atheists, scientists and philosophers of science are clearly teaching the human race evolution is fact. Evidence proves the FACTS, which proves things to be true. So where is the evidence of any kind, or form of animals changing into human beings? FACT. There is no FACTS and no Evidence of Evolution. So why do scientists and philosophers of science add in the photos above the four images of apes changing into a human being? when the missing links have not been discovered, and still do not exist?    The Bible gives us the answer here. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. Deuteronomy 6:4.  "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Mark 12:29.  FACT. If Evolution is FACT? Then we would still see animals changing into a different species.  FACT.  If Evolution is FACT? Then we would still see apes changing into human beings. FACT.  NO human being has ever seen animals or humans changing into anything. FACT. Atheists put their whole faith in man who believe and teach Evolution, and sacrifice their soul, and there eternal life, when most people know that man is desperately wicked and deceitful. Yet man believes and trusts in the deceitful man rather then in God who made Man. The heart is deceitful above all things, and  who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: Mark 7:21 - 22.  This is what the LORD says: "Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD. Jeremiah 17:5. Now let's look at the (Evidence) and the ''TRUE'' FACTS. FACT. The Wonders of the world and the sophisticated, complex universe, sun and the millions of planets very easily proves an intelligent designer. God. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. Isaiah 45:12 FACT. Our highly sophisticated and complex bodies, very easily prove an intelligent designer. God. FACT. The 1000's of highly sophisticated and complex Fish and sea creatures, insects, birds and animals, very easily prove an intelligent designer. God.     FACT. THE 100's of trees and plants, herbs and spices, fruit and vegetables, nuts milk and honey, very easily prove an intelligent designer. God. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11 - 12.    FACT. The 100’s of Bible prophecies fulfilled of Jesus Christ, and the examples of Jesus’ skill in telling Parables, very easily prove His is GOD’s Son who He claimed to be. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying , I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Matthew 13:35. FACT. The 100's of Bible discoveries, that prove the Holy Bible, as archaeology proves the Bible, very easily prove God is real and He is here and is active. Truth springs from the earth, And righteousness looks down from heaven. Psalm 85:11. FACT. Who ever finds the missing links, will be rich and famous. Sadly for the one who seeks to find it, will have to remain as they are, as they will never ever find something that does not exist. Sorry about that if you are one of them looking for your missing link. But instead seek Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and you will find him, and He can save your soul. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7. KJV. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Proverbs 8:17. FACT. Atheists put their whole faith on believing in a stone, or Fossils. That is what you call blind faith. Some renowned scientists would argue that there is no evidence of a world-wide flood. The DNA record certainly proved to an atheist like Professor Antony Flew (who was probably a greater skeptic than Richard Dawkins) that life could not have come about by random chance.
