What are Prophecies?
Prophecies are predictions.
Prophecies are events that will happen in the future.
Prophecies are events that are forecasted. Prophecies are things to come true.
Prophecies are foretelling future events. Prophecies are inspired by prophets of God. Prophecies are revelation of divine will. Prophecies are often made by divine inspiration.
Prophecies are inspired messages.
Prophecies are often orally or in writing. Prophecies are made 100' to 1000's years in advance of the events predicted.
The Holy Bible has 1000's Prophecies.

The importance of Bible prophecies.
Prophecies in the Bible are divine truths by God.
Prophecies in the Bible reveal God's will. Prophecies in the Bible are messages by God. Prophecies prove an intelligent God. Prophecies prove the Holy Bible as inspired by God.
Prophecies prove the Holy Bible as historical fact.
Prophecies prove the Holy Bible to be accurate and reliable.
Prophecies in the Holy Bible prove God is who He claims to be.
Prophecies confirm the prophets were inspired by God.
Prophecies must always be taken seriously. Not abiding to the Prophecies always has consequences.

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets. Acts 13:40.

The Holy Bible we hold in our hands to day is the most accurate Historical text book the world has ever seen. It is believed to have at least 2500 prophecies of which 2000 have already been fulfilled with not one single mistake. This leaves 500 prophecies which we are now seeing happen and come true as we talk. It is also said the chances of all these prophecies developing independent of one another, is 1 in millions. If we seek we also find that not one single Archeological discovery has truly contradicted a Biblical reference in the Bible. So we have bible prophecies accurately fulfilled which is confirmed and proved by bible discoveries and Archeology. Proving over and over again that THE BIBLE IS INSPIRED BY THE WORD OF GOD.

Most of the events referred to in chs. 1–39 occurred during Isaiah’s ministry (see 6:1; 14:28; 36:1), so these chapters may have been completed not long after 701 b.c., the year the Assyrian army was destroyed (see note on 10:16). The prophet lived until at least 681 (see note on 37:38) and may have written chs. 40–66 during his later years. In his message to the exiles of the sixth century b.c., Isaiah was projected into the future, just as Ezekiel was in Eze 40–48. READ FULL ARTICLE HERE By http://www.biblica.com/

The prophecy still being fulfilled today confirming the accuracy of Jesus teachings.

He (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you (Believers) to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, (The truth regarding God and his Kingdom) but to them (Unbelievers) it is not given. For whosoever hath, (Faith of the believers) to him shall be given, (The Holy Spirit teaches believers the truth and mysteries) and he shall have more abundance: (For ever learning the truth) but whosoever hath not, (Unbelievers) from him shall be taken away (Satan takes the truth from Unbelievers) even that he hath. (any truth that is told to unbelievers is removed) Matthew 13:11 - 12. (King James Version)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Pearl of (all) prophecies still being fulfilled today.

Therefore speak I (Jesus) to them in parables: because they (Unbelievers) seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. (The truth) And in them (Unbelievers) is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, (A prophecy that is still being fulfilled, confirming Jesus was who he claimed to be). which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive (It is not possible for unbelievers to understand all truth, unless they open their hearts.) For this people's heart is waxed gross, (Unbelievers hearts have become hardened and closed) and their ears are dull of hearing, (Do not want to hear the truth) and their eyes they have closed; (Do not want to read or see the truth) lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, (Seek, Believe, Repent to Jesus and be Saved) and I should heal them. And Jesus will open Unbelievers ears and eyes so they will see and understand the truth and be saved. Matthew 13:13 - 16 (King James Version)
Unless Unbelievers Seek, Repent, and believe in Jesus, evidence of Jesus, God or the Bible, to most will mean or prove nothing.

                         MORE PROPHECIES OF JESUS.

IT IS A FACT AND AMAZING TO KNOW
How did the prophets of God know? Unless God told them so. The method of the execution, called the crucifixion, was not invented, when the prophets of God were told. Yet 100's of years later, the Romans created a method of execution, called the crucifixion, that proves a fact, that God must of told, the prophets of Jesus, for the prophets to know, about Jesus crucifixion, that became the worst ever execution, that the prophets had already known. Proving a fact, that Jesus was who He claimed to be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Isaiah predicted John the Baptist would prepare the way for Jesus to come.
