THE FIG TREE. Now learn a parable of the fig tree. Matthew 24:32 - 35.

The fig tree. Matthew 24:32-35. Mark 13:28-31. Luke 21:29-33.
THE FIG TREE and Emma Brown picking figs.
Hello friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a pleasure to receive so many emails from you last week. Thank you so much as it is great to hear from you.

In my last article I was talking about the wonderful cherries I picked that led me into thinking how I felt like Adam in the garden of Eden.

This week my wife Emma is looking at our fig tree I planted 6 years ago. She was hoping to pick the lovely figs Jesus talked about in Matthew 24:32-35. Mark 13:28-31. Luke 21:29-33.
I find it interesting that Jesus talked and referenced the fig tree more than any other tree.
I did not realise how many times Jesus referenced the fig tree, including
Cursing the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14 and 11:20-25 and Matthew 21:18-22

But when going to pick the figs Emma found the figs were not ready to pick. Is Jesus telling us He is about to return? As in the parable of Matthew 24:32-35. we find Jesus saying there are only leaves, but no figs.
On our fig tree we have leaves and figs. However our figs are not ready. Is Jesus telling us to get ready for His return? One thing is for sure. We are to keep praying, watching, and expecting Jesus at any time, so we will not be like the 5 foolish virgins, being half the church in Matthew 25:1. Who were not keeping watch and were not ready and were left behind.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matthew 24:42.
Being ready now, is expecting Him at any time, is obeying what Jesus command us to do, for when He does arrive which means we will not be caught of guard.

I am sad to know so many Christians who are more interested in the things of this life, rather than the things of God. They seem to put Jesus after the material things. I know so many Christians who want Jesus on the phone, but not on the throne. When I say to them I believe Jesus is coming very soon, they often tell me how late it is, and it is time for them to go home.

Why did Jesus teach so many times about being ready. Because He already knew half the church would not be ready.

We do not know the day or hour when Jesus will return, but by this parable of the Fig Tree. Jesus expects his disciples to read the signs of the times. And nearly (ALL) the signs of Jesus returning are here.

Lets pray we will all be ready for the next greatest day in world history.

We are Simon and Emma Brown. We hope to see you soon in paradise. Amen.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:32 - 35.

Luke presents this parable as eschatological in nature: like the leaves of the fig tree, the signs spoken of in the Olivet discourse of Luke 21:5-28  indicate the coming of the
 Kingdom of God.
An alternate interpretation is that the fig tree represents the nation of Israel being politically reestablished in their land once again. Accordingly, when the modern state of Israel was formed on May 14, 1948, Hal Lindsey concluded that we are in the last generation. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Here is a great teaching Emma and I just watched that we recommend:
Twenty times in the New Testament, Jesus Christ issued a compelling and challenging invitation: “Follow Me.” Jesus is not interested in mere fans. He doesn't want enthusiastic admirers. He wants completely committed followers. Built around the engaging approach of Kyle Idleman, Teaching Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY, this one of a kind small group study, sermon series, movie, and book examines what it means to deny one’s self and truly follow Jesus.  Watch trailer here http://store.cityonahillstudio.com/not-a-fan.html For more information, please visit notafan.com.

Enter Through The Narrow Gate, Matthew 7:13

Enter Through The Narrow Gate, Matthew 7:13
What did Jesus mean by a narrow and wide gate?

We were all born as sinners who cheat steal or lie. Romans 3:23

We were all born lost like a baby lamb that has lost its mother.

We were all living in darkness, waiting to discover the light and find the truth. (John 8:12.)
We were all born spiritually blind and dead, not knowing the truth about God and believing in lies said about God who is Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:3-7)

However, God is the greatest warrior ever, if he starts something he continues without giving up, he will fight to save our souls, he has shown us that he still loves us and sent his Son into this world not to condemn us but to save us through him. (John 3:16)

God has been calling every living person to him but most have closed their eyes and ears and hearts to him but a few have opened their ears and heard Gods call.

Now for those who have opened their hearts to God they now realize the time has come to seek God, learn who He is. The great I AM, (John
8:24) the LORD God Almighty, Jesus Christ, (YESHUA) and believe his doctrines and teachings and strive to follow Jesus making every effort to do his will. (Luke13:24) The ones who do this are one in a million and are entering a place many cannot find. It is like finding hidden treasure in a field. (Mathew
13:44 - 46)

You are just like the time when you were a sperm swimming up your Mothers fallopian tube. You were one, out of millions who swam the right way, the only way to gain life,

There were millions with you. There were many like you. You then swam as hard as you could with every fibre of your being, with all your strength to get to the egg which gave you life.

You left millions behind.
You were the only one who got to the egg.
You were the only one out of millions to receive life. That was a physical battle. Now it is a spiritual battle!

Yes, a battle to save your soul from destruction and death. You can only make it to everlasting life, the next stage in this life, by being truly born again. (John 3:3)

It will still be hard, like running up a hill. But remember to listen to Jesus' words, when he said be strong like a soldier who goes to war, who trains before he goes into battle. By trusting in Jesus he will train and shape you. He will put on you his shining armour called the armour of God. (Ephesians 6:10 -18)

By hearing and believing in Jesus you are heading the right way, the only way as you were when you were swimming the right way and the only way to the egg to gain life. (JOHN 14:6)
By believing following and trusting in Jesus he will give you his Holy Spirit to push you up the hill where the path gets narrower and steeper and with Gods spirit behind you, you will most certainly make it to the end, through the narrow gate. (John 14:15 -18)

With the Holy Spirits help you will have the strength from the Father who loves you.

Sadly, you have left millions who were with you behind. Many of them would not listen Many of them would not believe. Many of them laughed at you and could not understand where you were going. (Matthew 13:10)

If we refuse to accept Jesus Christ we will believe all the lies said about God.
(1 John 5:19)
We will then live and do what we want to do. This is the easiest thing in the world, this is effortless, most of the population have chosen to take this path, as it  poses no difficulty; requiring no strain, it is painless, simple and uncomplicated and most will take the easiest way. Our own evil and deceitful hearts will deceive our own souls which in return will receive the wages for sin. "For the wages of sin is death; (Romans 6:23)

We are like a caterpillar waiting to be transformed into a beautiful butterfly, but for most we will be killed by the predator before being transformed. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
(John 10:10)
