Quick Facts: I and My Father Are One – Does John 10:30 Prove the Trinity?

This Quick Facts Bible study examines Jesus’ statement, “I and My Father are one” in John 10:30. Jesus did not say, “I and My Father are one God.” John 17 shows Jesus praying that His disciples would also be one, just as He and His Father are one. The study also asks why the Holy Spirit is not mentioned in John 10:30 or John 1:1 if these verses are presented as proof of a three-person Trinity.

Jesus said:

“I and my Father are one.” — John 10:30

This verse is often used as evidence that Jesus and his Father are one God. But notice something very important:

Jesus did not say:

“I and my Father are one God.”

He simply said:

“I and my Father are one.”

QUICK FACT 1 — Jesus Explained His Meaning

Only a few verses later, Jesus explained his relationship with his Father:

“The Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” — John 10:38

Jesus therefore described a profound unity between himself and his Father.

QUICK FACT 2 — Jesus Used the Same Language About His Disciples

In John 17, Jesus prayed that his followers would also become one:

“That they may be one, even as we are one.” — John 17:11

And:

“That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you.” — John 17:21

Obviously, Jesus was not asking for all his disciples to become one literal person or one God.

His prayer shows that “one” can describe profound unity, fellowship and shared purpose while those involved remain distinct.

QUICK FACT 3 — Where Is the Third Person in John 10:30?

If John 10:30 is being used specifically as a description of the three-person Trinity, an obvious question arises:

Where is the Holy Spirit?

Jesus mentions only:

1. Himself — the Son
2. His Father

There is no third person mentioned in John 10:30.

This does not by itself prove that the Holy Spirit cannot be a distinct person; it does show that John 10:30 alone is not a statement defining a three-person Godhead.

QUICK FACT 4 — What About John 1:1?

John 1:1 speaks of:

“the Word”

and:

“God.”

Whatever interpretation one adopts concerning the Word, the verse itself does not explicitly present three persons or give a three-person definition of God.

The Holy Spirit is not mentioned in John 1:1.

Therefore, John 1:1 cannot, by itself, provide the complete doctrine later called the Trinity.

QUICK FACT 5 — What About Heaven’s Great Throne?

The same question can be asked when examining biblical visions of God's throne.

If someone claims that Father, Son and Holy Spirit must always be understood as three coequal divine persons, we should carefully examine how Scripture actually describes the heavenly throne rather than assuming that later theological terminology appears in the text.

The important question is:

Who does Scripture actually identify as sitting on the throne, who is distinguished from Him, and how is the Holy Spirit described?

Those passages deserve to be examined individually rather than having the Trinity read into them beforehand.

QUICK FACT CONCLUSION

When Jesus said:

“I and my Father are one,”

he did not say:

“I and my Father are one God.”

And his prayer that his disciples might be “one, even as we are one” provides important context for understanding what this language of unity can mean.

Furthermore, John 10:30 does not mention the Holy Spirit at all, and neither does John 1:1.

So these verses may be used as part of a broader theological argument for the Trinity, but neither verse, standing alone, states the doctrine that God is three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—in one God.

What Is the Truth About John 1:1 to 5?

John 1:1–5 is one of the most discussed passages in the New Testament. This study examines the opening verses of John's Gospel by comparing the original Greek text, the meaning of the word Logos ("Word"), the creation account in Genesis, and the testimony of the Old Testament. Rather than reading later theological ideas into the passage, this article encourages readers to let Scripture interpret Scripture and carefully examine what John actually wrote about God's Word and Jesus Christ.

A Study of the "Word" (Logos)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." — John 1:1

Introduction

Few passages in the Bible have generated more discussion than John 1:1–5. For centuries, many Christians have understood "the Word" (Greek: Logos) to refer to the pre-existent Son, Jesus Christ. This interpretation forms an important part of Trinitarian theology and is also accepted, in different ways, by several other Christian groups.

In this study, however, I present a different understanding. My conclusion is that the "Word" in John 1:1 is not a second divine person, but God's own Word—His spoken expression, purpose, wisdom, command, and will. Only later, in John 1:14, does that Word become embodied in the man Jesus Christ.

My purpose is not to attack sincere believers, but to encourage every reader to examine the Scriptures carefully, just as the Bereans did (Acts 17:11). The question is not what tradition teaches, but what the biblical text itself actually says.

Quick Facts

John 1:1 says "the Word was God."
Psalm 33:6 teaches that creation came by Yahweh's spoken word and the breath of His mouth.

John 1 Begins Where Genesis Begins

John intentionally opens his Gospel with the same words found in Genesis:

"In the beginning..."

His readers are immediately taken back to the creation account.

Genesis records:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth... And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." (Genesis 1:1–3)

Notice that God creates by speaking.

God speaks.

His word goes forth.

Creation comes into existence.

Psalm 33:6 explains this beautifully:

"By Yahweh's word the heavens were made, and all their army by the breath of His mouth."

This verse describes no second divine person. It speaks of Yahweh Himself speaking creation into existence.

For this reason, I understand John 1 to be referring back to Genesis. The "Word" is God's own self-expression—His command, purpose, and creative power.

"The Word Was God"

John writes:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Notice carefully what John does not say.

He does not write:

"In the beginning was the Son."

Nor does he say:

"In the beginning was Jesus."

Instead, he speaks of the Word.

If John had intended his readers to understand that a pre-existent Son personally existed alongside God, one might reasonably expect him to identify the Son directly.

Instead, John uses the term Logos—"Word."

In my understanding, this fits perfectly with the Old Testament, where God's word is repeatedly His own speech, revelation, promise, command, and purpose.

Just as our spoken words come from us without becoming or being separate persons, God's Word comes from God without becoming another God or person.

Therefore, when John says "the Word was God," I understand him to mean that God's Word belongs to God Himself. It expresses His own nature, character, wisdom, and will.

The Word Comes From God's Mouth

Jesus Himself taught:

"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4)

Notice that Jesus identifies the source of God's Word.

It proceeds from the mouth of God.

Likewise, Psalm 33:6 says:

"By Yahweh's word the heavens were made... by the breath of His mouth."

Both passages present God's Word as God's own utterance—not another divine being.

This understanding is consistent throughout the Old Testament.

God speaks.

His Word goes forth.

His Word accomplishes His purpose.

His Word returns to Him having fulfilled what He intended (Isaiah 55:11).

Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, God's Word is never introduced as a second person existing alongside Yahweh.

John 1:14 — "The Word Became Flesh"

John later writes:

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."

This verse does not say that God or a second divine person changed into flesh.

Rather, I understand John to be teaching that God's eternal purpose, promise, revelation, and saving Word became fully expressed in the life of Jesus Christ.

Jesus became the living embodiment of God's Word.

This explains why Revelation 19:13 calls Jesus:

"The Word of God."

Notice the expression:

The Word of God.

Jesus is called God's Word because He perfectly reveals His Father.

As Jesus Himself said:

"The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own authority, but the Father who dwells in Me does His works." (John 14:10)

Again Jesus says:

"The word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me." (John 14:24)

These statements emphasize that Jesus faithfully speaks God's Word rather than presenting Himself as the source of that Word.

What Does Logos Mean?

The Greek word translated "Word" in John 1 is λόγος (logos).

The word logos has a wide range of meanings. It can refer to a spoken word, message, statement, teaching, reason, purpose, account, or plan. It does not, by itself, mean "a person."

According to Strong's Concordance, logos can mean:

A spoken word
A saying
A message
A report
A command
A matter or subject
A declaration

Throughout the New Testament, logos is translated "word" hundreds of times, and in almost every case it refers to God's message or spoken word—not to a person.

For example, Jesus said:

"The word (logos) which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me." (John 14:24)

Again He said:

"Sanctify them in the truth; Your word (logos) is truth." (John 17:17)

In neither passage does logos refer to another divine person. It refers to God's message, truth, and revelation.

This consistent biblical usage should be kept in mind when reading John 1.

John 1:2

Most modern translations read:

"He was in the beginning with God."

Because the pronoun is translated "He," many readers naturally assume John is referring to Jesus as a pre-existent person.

However, some scholars point out that the Greek text allows this sentence to refer back to the Word rather than introducing a new person. Historically, several English translations reflected this by using expressions such as "the same" or, in some places, treating the Word as "it" rather than "he."

For this reason, I understand John 1:2 as continuing to describe God's Word, purpose, and self-expression that existed with God in the beginning, rather than introducing a second divine person.

John 1:3

Most modern Bibles read:

"All things were made through Him."

This wording has led many Christians to conclude that Jesus personally created the universe before His birth.

However, a number of earlier English translations rendered the verse differently.

For example:

William Tyndale (1534):

"All things were made by it, and without it was made nothing that was made."

Likewise, the Geneva Bible, the Bishops' Bible, and several other early English translations also used "it" rather than "him."

These translations understood John to be speaking about God's Word—His creative command—rather than another person.

This harmonizes naturally with Psalm 33:6:

"By Yahweh's word the heavens were made, and all their army by the breath of His mouth."

Creation came into existence because God spoke.

God commanded.

His Word accomplished His will.

Psalm 33:9 summarizes it simply:

"For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm."

The emphasis throughout Scripture is on God's spoken command, not on another divine being carrying out creation independently of Him.

The Old Testament Never Presents God's Word as a Separate Or Second Person

One of the strongest reasons for my understanding is the consistent teaching of the Old Testament.

Hundreds of times we read expressions such as:

"The word of Yahweh came..."
"Thus says Yahweh..."
"The word of the Lord..."

In every case, God's Word is His communication.

It is His command.

It is His promise.

It is His revelation.

It is His judgment.

It is His purpose.

Nowhere does the Old Testament introduce God's Word as another person existing alongside Yahweh.

Therefore, when John opens his Gospel by speaking of "the Word," I believe his Jewish readers would naturally have understood him to be referring to God's own self-expression, just as the Old Testament repeatedly does.

Why Didn't John Simply Say "The Son"?

This raises an important question.

If John intended to teach that Jesus literally existed beside God before creation, why did he not simply write:

"In the beginning was the Son."

Or:

"In the beginning was Jesus."

Instead, John chose the word Logos.

I believe this choice was intentional.

John first introduces God's eternal Word—His purpose, wisdom, revelation, and creative command.

Only later, in John 1:14, does he identify how that Word became visible in history through the birth of Jesus Christ.

In other words, the story moves from God's eternal purpose to its fulfilment in His Messiah.

Jesus Always Pointed Back to His Father

Throughout His ministry, Jesus consistently directed attention to His Father.

He said:

"I do nothing on My own authority, but speak just as the Father taught Me." (John 8:28)

Again:

"The Father who sent Me has Himself given Me a command—what I should say and what I should speak." (John 12:49)

And again:

"The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority." (John 14:10)

These statements fit naturally with the understanding that Jesus is God's perfect spokesman.

He speaks God's Word because God's Word dwells fully in Him.

He perfectly reveals the Father to the world.

For this reason, John can later describe Jesus as "the Word of God" (Revelation 19:13), because He perfectly embodies and reveals God's message, character, authority, and saving purpose.

WHY John 1:1 is not about Jesus!

Does John 1:1 really describe Jesus existing before His birth, or is John speaking about God's Word, wisdom, plan, and purpose? This study examines the original Greek text, the Old Testament background, and the immediate context to understand what John actually wrote.

Chapter 1: John 1:1 — Is the "Word" Jesus?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." — John 1:1

Perhaps no verse in the entire Bible has generated more discussion than John 1:1. For centuries it has been one of the principal passages used to support the doctrine of the Trinity and the belief that Jesus Christ personally existed alongside God before His birth in Bethlehem.

Yet despite its popularity, John 1:1 is also one of the Bible's most misunderstood passages.

Many sincere Christians assume that "the Word" (Logos) in John 1:1 is simply another name for Jesus. But is that actually what John intended his readers to understand?

This chapter will examine the passage carefully by considering:

the oldest Greek manuscripts,
the meaning of the Greek word Logos,
John's Old Testament background,
the immediate context of John's Gospel,
and the testimony of Scripture as a whole.

My purpose is not to ask readers to accept a tradition, whether Trinitarian or Unitarian, but to examine the biblical evidence carefully and allow Scripture to explain itself.

As we shall see, I believe John's opening words are not introducing a second divine person existing beside God before creation. Rather, John begins exactly where Genesis begins—with the One True God speaking His creative word into existence.

The Greek Text

The Greek text reads:

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος,
καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν,
καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος.

Literally:

"In beginning was the word,
and the word was with God,
and God was the word."

Notice something very important.

The original Greek manuscripts do not contain an upper-case "W" and a lower-case "w" as modern English does. The earliest manuscripts were written in continuous Greek script without the capitalization conventions used in modern English translations.

Therefore, the familiar English translation "Word" with a capital W is not found in the original Greek text. It is an editorial decision made by translators.

This does not automatically mean the translation is wrong. However, it does encourage the reader to understand Logos as a personal title, almost as though John had written the name "Jesus."

John himself did not write "Jesus" here.

He wrote Logos.

Before deciding who or what the Logos is, we must first discover what John meant by that word.

What Does "Logos" Mean?

The Greek word λόγος (Logos) has a broad range of meanings.

It can refer to:

a word,
speech,
a message,
an utterance,
a declaration,
a report,
a command,
reason,
purpose,
or an expressed thought.

Throughout the New Testament, Logos is translated simply as "word" hundreds of times.

For example:

"Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth." (John 17:17)

Here, no translator capitalizes the word "word."

The Greek word is exactly the same: Logos.

Likewise, throughout the New Testament, translators consistently render Logos as "word," "message," or "teaching" without suggesting that it is a personal name.

Only in the opening verses of John's Gospel do most English translations capitalize it as Word, thereby encouraging readers to think immediately of a person.

The capitalization itself is not inspired Scripture; it is an interpretation supplied by translators.

This raises an important question:

Did John intend his readers to understand "Logos" as a person, or was he speaking about God's own word, purpose, wisdom and self-expression?

That question deserves to be answered from Scripture itself.

Notice how the same Greek word for (Logos Λόγος word), is never in CAPITALS, except in John 1:1,

And the Jehovah Witnesses have their own translation saying:

Christos: the Anointed One, Messiah, Christ

Did you see that: And the 👉Word👈 became flesh.

So the Word of GOD tells us how, GOD's 👉Word👈became flesh.

Notice what we do NOT read: And 👉GOD👈became flesh!

The Jehovah’s Witnesses Wrong Teaching of John 1:1!

Read About The Most Misunderstood Scripture within Christianity!

The Jehovah’s Witnesses correctly understand Jesus is not GOD and that GOD the Father is GOD ALONE.

But what do The Jehovah’s Witnesses say, believe and teach about John 1:1.

Lets have a look!

Their own translation reads:

As we have read and seen, how The Jehovah’s Witnesses say, believe and teach how John 1:1, is referring to Jesus.

And their own translations says Jesus is (a God), and NOT THE GOD.

Lets now see if The Jehovah’s Witnesses Teaching of John 1:1 is Right or Wrong.

The correct translation of John 1:1 tells us in the: Berean Literal Bible

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The first and obvious mistake in the modern translations of John 1:1 is what my good teacher and Professor, Bible scholar taught me Sir Anthony Buzzard.

Notice how the Word has been ''CAPITALISED'' deceiving many into believing the WORD is a second person in John 1:1.

Most good Bible scholars and students know how the Greek New Testament translations were written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS with no spaces and probably no punctuation's.

Making the (Word) into CAPITAL LETTERS, is deceiving us into thinking there is a second person in John 1:1.

The next and obvious fact is that John 1:1 to 1:5 is not referring to Jesus, but to GOD the Father alone.

This is seen by simply going back to Genesis 1.

The Creation

(John 1:1–5; Hebrews 11:1–3)

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.”

And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

So as we read in the (word) of GOD, John 1:1 is referring to GOD the Father 's (word) in Genesis 1.

And this is confirmed in Psalm 33:6:

By Yahweh’s (word,) the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth. World English Bible.

Notice how Jesus tells us how the (word) comes from the mouth of GOD: But answering He said, "It has been written: 'The man shall live not by bread alone, but by every word coming out of the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4.

Did you also see how there is NO SECOND PERSON in Genesis 1, or in Psalm 33:6.

In fact there is never, ever a SECOND PERSON throughout the whole old testament who is said to also be involved in the creation of the world.

We only ever read throughout the whole old testament about ONE PERSON ALONE, who is Yahweh alone, the One True GOD alone, and The Father of creation alone.

Never, ever, is there a second, or third person mentioned being involved in the creation of the world.

Next Biblical fact?

GOD The Father and the SON, always say how GOD The Father was the creator alone.

Example:

Isaiah 44:24 tells us how Yahweh GOD created all things ALONE, BY HIMSELF: Yahweh, who makes all things; who ALONE stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth BY MYSELF.

It's also worth noting, if Jesus were truly GOD, or that Jesus was WITH GOD at creation, that would even ''contradict'' Jesus own teachings when Jesus prayed to His Father saying He is the Only One True GOD and creator alone on His own, as we read in many verses like John 17:3, Mark 12:29, Matthew 19:4.

Notice how Jesus does not mention Himself being WITH GOD and involved in doing the creating!

We do NOT read, (WE), or (US), but we INSTEAD read Jesus saying (THE ONE), defining GOD the Father alone!

So as we see, the most popular belief which most Christians believe in, is that John 1:1 to 1-5 is Jesus, and has to be wrong.

Next fact!

If Jesus was WITH GOD in the BEGINNING, that wrong understanding would simply and clearly be ''contradicting'' the whole Bibles teachings.

As we have seen, as far as I am concerned, Bible ''contradictions'' prove we are deceived or not understanding the true Word of GOD, which explains why false faiths have countless ''contradictions'' against the Word of GOD, who also clearly ''contradict'' their own faith.

My Conclusion:

Jesus is referred to as “God” twice for sure, others are called God or gods, including, angels, and even glorified members of the Church.

However, Jesus is never ever called: The One True GOD.

And John 1:1 to 5 is not about a second person, but is about GOD The Father and His spoken word.

This all concludes how the translations of The Jehovah’s Witnesses of John 1, is wrong.

I believe the Greek translation of John 1:1 is correct, except the Word should not be a CAPITAL LETTER, because John 1:1 is simply referring to GOD's (word) in Genesis 1, His statement, speech, divine utterance, plan, power, authority, of GOD, expressing Yahweh’s thoughts, action, message, purpose and will, spoken by the breath of Yahweh’s mouth, which is why John tells us: and the word was with God, and the word was God, as confirmed in Psalm 33:6.

As most of Christianity are wrong by adding in a second person Jesus into John 1, so are The Jehovah’s Witnesses wrong by adding in a second person Jesus into John 1.

But just in case you do not already know, I have saved the best until last.

There are countless older translations that prove most of Christianity are using and reading the false modern translations of John 1: 3 to 5.

The truth is seen in how this SHOCKING deceptions of John 1: is seen in the MODERN Bible translations.

This is because of the correct older Bible translations that are seen and confirmed by people like William Tyndale, martyred for his efforts to get the Bible to the public.

His translation reads:

“In the beginnynge was the worde, and the worde was with God, and the worde was god. The same was in the beginnynge with god. All thinges were made by it, and without it, was made nothinge that was made. In it was lyfe, and the lyfe was the lyght of men, and the lyght shyneth in the darcknes but the darcknes comprehended it not” (William Tyndale, The New Testament, 1534).

What we instead see is how there are Trinitarian biased Bible translators who have wrongly translated John 1:1 to John 1:5.

And there is absolutely NO teachings what so ever throughout the whole Bible saying or teaching Michael the Angel, or GOD, or a Pre-existing Jesus, changed, by being reincarnated from being a Spirit being, or Michael the Angel, or GOD, into the baby Jesus.

In fact the beginning of all four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, tell us how Jesus came into existence in the womb of the woman, and Jesus becoming flesh as The Word 👉of👈 GOD in John 1:14.

Notice how Jesus is called The Word 👉(OF) 👈 The GOD, and NOT THE GOD.

Revelation 19:13

and having been clothed with a garment having been dipped in blood. And His name is called

The Word 👉OF👈 God.

John is defining the difference of Jesus,

and the difference of GOD, by telling us Jesus is:

The Word 👉OF👈 God.

Notice how Jesus is NOT called 👉(GOD) 👈 The WORD, or (GOD the SON),

but instead: The Word 👉OF👈 God.

As John 1:1 correctly tells us 👉The word was GOD👈 this proves John 1:1 is NOT referring to Jesus as (a God), but instead is referring to the 👉 BEGINNING of Yahweh’s spoken word in Genesis 1, as (The One True GOD) Himself ALONE, on His OWN!

The absolute truth is:

We never, ever, read (WE) or (US) or (THEY) or (BOTH) or (TOGETHER) or (a God), or (GODS) or (THROUGH a God) or (THROUGH the SON) or (The Father and the SON) or the (GOD HEAD) or the (TRINITY) or a (TRIAD GOD) created the heavens and spread out the earth ⛔.

The Correct meaning of Revelation 3:14.

And to the messenger of the church in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of God's creation.

Most Christians believe Revelation 3:14 is saying Jesus is the creator or is the BEGINNING of GOD's GENESIS creation.

Let's be sure and read what Revelation 3:14 is about.

First what do Trinitarian's say believe and teach.

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers tells us:

The beginning (better, the origination) of the creation of God.--This title of our Lord does not occur in the Epistles to the other churches, but very closely resembles the language used by St. Paul in writing to the Colossians (Colossians 1:15-18). The "beginning," not meaning that Christ was the first among the created, but that He was the origination, or primary source of all creation. By Him were all things made (John 1:1-3 : comp. Colossians 1:15; Colossians 1:18), not with Him, but by Him creation began. In short, the word "beginning" (like the word "faithful") must be understood in an active sense. He has originating power (Acts 3:14) as well as priority of existence. The appropriateness of its use will be seen when we remember that the Laodicean Church was exposed to the temptation of worshipping inferior principalities. (See Colossians 1:16; Colossians 2:15, where the plural of the word here rendered "beginning," or origin, is used, and is translated "principalities.")

And Pulpit Commentary tells us:

The Beginning of the creation of God. There are two ways in which these words might be understood:

(1) that in which "beginning" is taken in a passive sense, and which would therefore make Christ the first created thing of all the things which God created;

(2) the active sense, by which Christ is described as the Beginner, the Author, Moving Principle or Source of all the things which God created. That the latter meaning is the true one is plain from the whole tenor of Holy Scripture. The Ariaus, attempting to disprove the Divinity of our Lord, quoted this passage, attributing to it the former sense. But ἀρχή is often used actively, and may well be so used here - a view which is confirmed by the abundant evidence of our Lord's Divinity found elsewhere in the Bible, and nowhere more plainly asserted than in the writings of St. John. The self-reliant Laodiceans are thus directed to place their trust in him who is the Source of all things, rather than in those created things of which he is the Creator.

As we have seen and confirmed how MOST Christians believe Revelation 3:14 is about Jesus being the primary source of all GENESIS creation.

Most Christians and most Trinitarians use the verses of (John 1:1-3, (Colossians 1:15-18) to confirm ALL things where made (By) Him (Jesus) meaning all the original GENESIS creation.

Jehovah’s Witnesses

And Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Revelation 3:14 means Jesus was (produced) created by GOD as the firstborn of all creation, and use the verses of Proverbs 8:22 and Colossians 1:15

Please hold my hand as I take you to see the Biblical facts and reveal to you how MOST of Christianity are confused with what the verses of Revelation 3:14, John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-18, and Proverbs 8:22 actually mean.

Let's start off with looking at the Greek word ἀρχὴ for (Beginning).

Is ἀρχὴ for (Beginning) the correct word?

On my search I discovered the word for (Beginning) is the Greek word ἀρχὴ (archē), and has 12 Occurrences said in the Englishman's Concordance.

As we see, there are 11 verses which use the Greek word ἀρχὴ for (Beginning), and one verse that use's the word (rule).

The HELPS Word-studies tells us the meaning of (Beginning):

746 arxḗ – properly, from the beginning (temporal sense), i.e. "the initial (starting) point"; (figuratively) what comes first and therefore is chief (foremost), i.e. has the priority because ahead of the rest ("preeminent").

As we see, I believe it is safe to say the correct word is certainly (Beginning), and simply means: the initial (starting) point.

Who is talking in Revelation 3:14?

The answer is given by John in Revelation 1: in his vision on Patmos:

9 I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like that of a trumpet, 11 saying, “What you see, write in a book and send to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

As we see Jesus is talking to John in a vision by the fact we read John saying in verse 13: One like the Son of Man, and then we read John saying in verse 17: And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. And He placed His right hand upon me, saying, “Fear not. I am the First and the Last, 18and the Living One. And I was dead, and behold I am living to the ages of the ages, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

So we now know from above the person who is speaking in Revelation 1 is Jesus talking to John in a vision.

And we have also previously seen the word (Beginning) certainly and simply means: the initial (starting) point.

But WHY does Revelation 3:14 tell us Jesus is the (Beginning)?

Could most of Christianity be correct saying and believing the verses of Revelation 3:14, confirm with John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-18, that Jesus is the primary source of all the GENESIS creation, and that ALL things where made (By) Him (Jesus)?

The simple answer to WHO is the actual creator of ALL things, and WHO is the source of all the GENESIS creation, is given by Yahweh, the ONE TRUE GOD and Father Himself in many verses like Isaiah 44:24

If Jesus was WITH GOD in John 17:5, then WHERE IS JESUS or the SEPARATE Holy Spirit when GOD created ALL THINGS in the GENESIS creation?

Let's see IF JESUS or the SEPARATE Holy Spirit is in the verses below?

Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: "I am Yahweh, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself; Isaiah 44:24.

Notice how Yahweh tells us He created ALL THINGS ALONE, BY MYSELF.

The truth is, NEVER, EVER does Yahweh, the ONE TRUE GOD and Father ever say or teach ANYWHERE in the whole Bible He created ALL THINGS in the GENESIS creation by or through His Son Jesus, or with help from anyone.

Thus says God Yahweh, (Notice we ALWAYS read God Yahweh ALONE) he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it. Isaiah 42:5.

Notice yet again in the verse above of Isaiah 42:5 Jesus is NOT there YET, but GOD Yahweh ALONE, who created the heavens and stretched them out, (he) who spread out the earth.

Notice again in Isaiah 45:12 how we read GOD Yahweh ALONE, who created ALL THINGS BY HIMSELF:

I have made the earth, and created man on it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens; and I have commanded all their army.

When referring to GOD the SINGULAR words for (I and HE)

are always used and never do we read or see (WE) or (US) when the Bible speaks of who is the creator.

Notice Jesus is NOT yet BORN because GOD does NOT say His SON was WITH Him, or helping Him doing the creating.

We clearly and plainly read GOD or the Bible saying the singular words for (I, MY HANDS, BY HIMSELF) created all things.

If the TRINITY faith were correct then we would read GOD saying WE, US, TOGETHER WE CREATED ALL THINGS.

BUT WE NEVER EVER READ GOD SAYING THERE WAS ANYONE WITH HIM DOING THE CREATING, AND ONLY EVER READ GOD ALONE MADE ALL THINGS, WHICH SIMPLY PROVES THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT A SEPARATE PERSON, AND JESUS WAS NOT YET WITH GOD IN GENESIS.

SO WHERE IS JESUS or the SEPARATE Holy Spirit in the verses ABOVE as taught in the TRINITY?

Notice how Jesus Himself says (HE) meaning GOD (ALONE) MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE.

And answering He said, "Have you not read that the One having created from the beginning 'made them male and female Matthew 19:4

We yet AGAIN read in Matthew 19:4 how Jesus tells us WHO IS THE CREATOR and that: the One (MEANING GOD ALONE) having created from the beginning 'made them male and female.

Notice how Jesus Himself does NOT SAY: WE, or US, ALL THREE TOGETHER: created from the beginning 'made them male and female, as would be the case if GOD truly was THREE called the TRINITY.

1. As GOD WAS ALONE THEN WHERE IS JESUS IF JESUS WAS WITH GOD IN JOHN 17:5?

John 17:5

And now glorify Me, You Father, with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed.

Having Glory with GOD John 17:5 before the world was created does not mean one was ALIVE with GOD before the world was created.

Jesus did NOT say: And now glorify Me, You Father, with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You (WHEN I WAS WITH YOU, or EXISTED WITH YOU) before the world existed.

In fact ALL humans who have ever existed (HAD) Glory WITH GOD before the world existed, simply because GOD so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son John 3:16.

Being loved by GOD, is having (Glory) WITH GOD, and we all know humans DID NOT EXIST before the world existed.

Father, those whom You have given Me, I desire that they also may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory that You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24.

Notice how GOD loved Jesus: before the foundation of the world. John 17:24, and how Jesus tells us that they may behold My glory that You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24.

In other words Jesus (HAD) Glory with GOD, by the fact GOD loved Jesus before Jesus existed, because GOD loved Jesus before the foundation of the world. John 17:24.

Being loved by GOD is having (Glory) with GOD, which NEVER means one EXISTED before the world existed.

And I have given them the glory which You have given Me, so that they may be one, as We are one-- John 17:22

Notice how Jesus prays to GOD saying He has given His disciples the SAME GLORY God gave Him in John 17:5.

And yet we know the disciples DID NOT EXIST before the world existed.

2. If Jesus is also the creator then WHY did Jesus ONLY ever say: the One (MEANING his GOD and Father ALONE) having created from the beginning 'made them male and female Matthew 19:4?

The Greek word for ONE is ho ὁ and is the Definite Article for THE GOD meaning the [One] meaning ONE PERSON, meaning THE ONE TRUE GOD ALONE, and NOT THREE PERSONS.

Where are the Biblical facts proving Jesus was ALIVE WITH GOD doing the creating?

In fact there are COUNTESS upon COUNTLESS scriptures all saying and teaching the SAME and IDENTICAL story, that Yahweh The One True GOD ALONE CREATED ALL THINGS in the BEGINNING, and we NEVER, EVER read Jesus or a SEPARATE PERSON of the Holy Spirit was WITH GOD as taught in the TRINITY faith.

But lets be sure and again have a LOOK at the Biblical FACTS.

A good place to start is at the (BEGINNING).

Genesis 1:1 World English Bible

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

We clearly and plainly see how the (singular) word for (GOD) is used meaning ONE person ALONE who created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1, and we do NOT read (GODS, or WE, US, TOGETHER) created the heavens and the earth, which should be the SIMPLE case if GOD was THREE PERSONS called the TRINITY.

Trinitarian's should not keep denying they believe there are THREE GODS side by side and not ONE, contradicting the word of GOD and the whole Bible.

Even children understand 3 = 3 and not 1.

Deuteronomy 10:14 World English Bible

Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.

We again read in Deuteronomy 10:14 how ONE PERSON (Yahweh GOD OWNS) the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.

My simple question is WHERE is the other TWO persons of the TRINITY in Deuteronomy 10:14?

If Jesus and the Holy Spirit are ONE and the same GOD as taught in the TRINITY, why are they not mentioned?

Psalm 115:16 World English Bible

We read again how ONE PERSON GOD Yahweh, OWNS the heavens and has temporally given the earth to the children of men.

There is again NO mention of ANYONE else being WITH GOD doing or helping GOD in creation.

This verse could not be any clearer saying we have ONE PERSON who is the father who is the ONE TRUE GOD who created us, which does NOT say ANYTHING about THREE PERSONS who created us as taught in the TRINITY faith or that Jesus was WITH GOD helping in creation.

In this verse Jesus tells us His Father GOD is the Lord of the heaven and the earth.

WHY isn't Jesus also the Lord of the heaven and the earth if it were true as taught in the TRINITY faith that Jesus is one and the same GOD?

However hold on as we shall soon see how Jesus becomes the BEGINNING and the RULER of heaven and earth as taught in Revelation 3:14 in the correct meaning.

Let's now move on to the quick facts and see the verses that are used, and CONFUSED most of Christianity like John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-18, and Proverbs 8:22 and see what theses verses truly and actually say, teach and mean.

The correct meaning of Colossians 1:15.

Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Paul was teaching in Colossians 1:15 Jesus is the firstborn of all creation, and also use the verses of Proverbs 8:22 saying Jesus was (produced) created by GOD as the firstborn of all creation,

However this is yet again another terrible CONFUSION and MISUNDERSTANDING.

What did Paul mean: the firstborn of all creation?

The Quick Facts:

Proverbs 8:22 is NOT referring to a second person who was created as many believe is Jesus, but is SUPER poetry by King Solomon and is INSTEAD referring to a personification of the (wisdom of God), personified as a woman.

Proverbs 8?

We now come to:

The TRUE Meaning and Misunderstanding of Colossians 1:16, and 1:17.

because in Him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him.

As we know MOST of Christianity, believe Paul was teaching here the WHOLE of Genesis creation was created BY or through Jesus.

However by what Paul says: all things in the heavens and upon the earth, is referring to what Jesus said in Matthew 28:18: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Paul is clearly referring to all the authority given by GOD to Jesus in heaven and on earth to establish the NEW kingdom and CREATION, which was AFTER Jesus death and resurrection, and is nothing to do with the Geneses creation.

Just as Paul in a few verses back was referring to the NEW kingdom of Christ in Colossians 1:13 saying, who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

Just as we read in Ephesians 1:20-21

which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the one coming.

Notice also in 1 Peter 3:22 how we read AFTER Jesus resurrection:

And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

22: who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to Him.

So we read AFTER Jesus death, resurrection, and victory, Jesus was given: All authority in heaven and on earth Matthew 28:18.

Above every principality and authority and power and dominion Ephesians 1:21.

This now completes our study to seeing what Scriptures most Christians and most Trinitarians use like John 1:1-3, (Colossians 1:15-18), Proverbs 8:22, to WRONGLY prove Jesus is the primary source of all the GENESIS creation, or that ALL things where made (By) Him (Jesus) meaning all the original GENESIS creation.

But what is Jesus the (Beginning) of?

Now we have seen that Jesus was NOT yet ALIVE and EXISTING in the (Beginning) of the GENESIS creation, then WHY did Jesus say in Revelation 3:14 He is the Beginning of God's creation.

The simple answer was already given above in Matthew 28:18, by Jesus Himself saying: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Just as Paul tells us in Colossians 1:16.

Paul says: all things in the heavens and upon the earth, is referring to what Jesus said in Matthew 28:18: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Paul is clearly referring to all the authority given by GOD to Jesus in heaven and on earth to establish the NEW CREATION.

Revelation 3:14.

And to the messenger of the church in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of God's creation.

Jesus is CONFIRMING in Revelation 3:14 that He is the (Beginning) of God's NEW creation.

Just as we read in Ephesians 1:20-21

Paul goes on to tell us in Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Paul is NOT referring to Jesus being ALIVE BEFORE GODS CREATION, but instead that Jesus is FIRST in IMPORTANCE, ORDER and RANK, as we are also told by John the Baptist in John 1:15 and John 1:30

This is He concerning whom I said, 'After me comes a man who has precedence over me, because He was before me.'

This is the meaning of what Jesus said in John 8:58, yet again another Scripture completely misunderstood by most of Christianity.

Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."

Jesus was simply saying to the Jews, before Abraham was, I am.” (ἐγὼ εἰμί), I am the one, the chosen one, the Messiah, the Christ, I am He, who was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you 1 Peter 1:20.

Now we understand WHY Paul said in Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

All things hold together because of Matthew 28:18: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Jesus is the (BEGINNING of GODS NEW CREATION Revelation 3:14.

My Conclusion:

Jesus is very important, and the most important person to exist after GOD, because He is GOD's chosen Messiah and RULER where GOD is now CREATING a NEW BEGINNING in and through Jesus Christ.

This is the meaning of what Paul tells us in Colossians 1:16

because in Him were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or lordships or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and unto Him.

GOD and Jesus work together as ONE, as a Father and Son, who are the FIRST and the LAST.

With all fairness, I could go on and on providing scriptures revealing how the Bible ONLY every teaches about a SINGULAR PERSON WHO IS YAHWEH, THE ONE TRUE GOD alone who created ALL things ALONE BY HIMSELF.

I have done my best to present the Biblical facts proving NOWHERE in the whole Bible is the Trinitarian concept taught as a "tritheism" (three Gods) but Yahweh The One True GOD always and ONLY ever says (He, I), was BY MYSELF, ALONE, and NEVER, EVER does GOD EVER mention there was ANYONE WITH (HIM) doing the creating in Genesis.

There are NO such teaching saying we MUST BELIEVE Jesus is GOD or A TRINITY!

Jesus said: Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand! Matthew 11:15. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the SON of God? 1 John 5:5. There are NO such teaching saying we MUST BELIEVE Jesus is GOD or A TRINITY, but as St john has said: but he that believeth that *JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD?* 1 John 5:5. Notice we MUST believe Jesus is *THE SON OF GOD* 1 John 5:5. And yet MOST have been DECEIVED into believing the CATHOLIC doctrine that Jesus the Son of His GOD, is instead the SAME GOD He was BORN from, which makes GOD and His SON into LIARS, who have always declared they are a LITERAL Father and SON, and that GOD amazingly GAVE and SENT His SON, who BOTH have never taught, GOD GAVE HIMSELF, as a sacrifice for the sins of the world, but that GOD gave His BEGOTTEN SON Jesus, NOT to condemn us, but save us by GODS own Son PAYING THE PRICE FOR OUR SINS. Learn to be a better person, tuning and turning your weaknesses and failures to strengths and triumph's. Don't be angry with anyone, instead show love and patience that comes from our heavenly Father.

Don't let your heart rule your head, but the word and wisdom of GOD instead.

Don't let PRIDE rule your life, but be Humbled instead.

Don't let sex lead you astray, or it will destroy you in every way.

Don't let Money be your GOD, or it will separate you from GOD.

Let GOD rule your life, and strive to be perfect like the Christ.

In the good times and the bad times, Love GOD above all things, with all your being, and you will be a child of GOD.

Trust and follow GOD'S only begotten Son with all your heart, mind and soul, and He will be your perfect brother, King, and advocate.

Be a good Samaritan, by loving your neighbour, and helping when you can, and make GOD smile.

Give to the poor people, and GOD will give to you.

Keep and obey GOD and His Sons Commandments and teachings, for this is the duty of man.

Correcting False Teachers:

And He said to them, "Having gone into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. Mark 16:15.

Let's strive to be as gentle as doves and self-controlled, and as 1 Peter 3:8 tells us to have sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind, when declaring the truth, but when the truth is so often rejected, I believe there are times when we need to be aggressive to expose wickedness and seriousness, when there are countless false teachings in most churches today which is no joke.

This is interesting to read what Paul and Trinitarians like Pulpit Commentary say about exposing wickedness:

And do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even expose them. Ephesians 5:11.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 11. - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. The point of this exhortation is in the adjective "unfruitful." The works of darkness are unfruitful; they produce no goodness, give rise to no satisfaction, to no moral results that are "a joy forever;" or, if fruit they have, it is shame, remorse, despair. Contrast this with the renovating, satisfying, joy-producing, fruits of righteousness. But rather even reprove them. Do not be content with a passive attitude towards them, BUT TAKE THE AGGRESSIVE AND EXPOSE THEIR WICKEDNESS, whether in public or in the domestic circle. A testimony has to be lifted up against ways that are so shameful and that bring down the wrath of God.

Paul continues to say:

But those sinning, REBUKE before all, so that the rest might have FEAR as well. 1 Timothy 5:20.

holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to REFUTE those who contradict. Titus 1:9.

Correcting False Teachers:

10 For there are also many insubordinate, empty talkers, and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11 whom it is necessary to silence, who overthrow whole households, teaching things that they ought not for the sake of base gain. 12 One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”a

13 This testimony is true, for which cause rebuke them severely, so that they may be sound in the faith, 14 not giving heed to Jewish myths and the commandments of men turning away from the truth.

15 To the pure all things are pure; but to those being defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Instead, both their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but in their works they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and unfit for any good work.

Below in 2 Peter 2: we find a perfect teaching exposing most of Christianity as being deceived, and most as being false teachers, who wrongly believe, say, and teach Jesus is GOD, which DENIES Jesus as the SON of His One True GOD, John 10:36, John 17:3, DENYING also GOD gave His SON, NOT HIMSELF John 3:16, DENYING also the Father and the SON Luke 9:35, and Yahweh GOD as GOD alone Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 45:22, Job 23:13, 2 Kings 19:15. Isaiah 44:24, Nehemiah 9:6. Mark 12:29, Deuteronomy 6:4.

We believe the MAIN Catholic doctrine of the Trinity is FALSE. GOD, is a single being which is strongly declared in the Bible. I am YAHWEH, and there is no other; THERE IS NO GOD BUT ME. THE DANGER OF SIN:

When we WILFULLY sin and let sin in, we let the DEVIL in, and throw GOD in the bin.

Don’t be deceived like most who live by GRACE on STEROIDS, and discover you were a foolish Virgin.

THE SHOCKING TRUTH:

There are many false gods, with many false Christ’s, with many false faiths, with many false prophets, who are mostly accepted, with many false teachings, with most being deceived, with many deceptions, with many BLACK HOLES that lead to HELL, where MOST go the easy way.

There is only one true GOD, and one true CHRIST, and one true FAITH, and few TRUE prophets who are mostly rejected by their correct teachings who are mostly neglected.

There is one NARROW road that leads to heaven that only goes through the one true Christ that gets us to the ALMIGHTY GOD where MANY are called, but FEW are CHOSEN.

And yet all is needed to gain eternal life, is to believe and follow what GOD and His Son only ever taught, that GOD is one person, and that Christ is the only Begotten SON of the ONE TRUE GOD, and that by believing we must take up our cross and follow Christ.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24. but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3.

A REMARKABLE EVIDENCE FOR THE BIBLE — THE UNBELIEF IT PREDICTED

There is a remarkable fact about the Bible that is often overlooked. The Bible never predicted that everyone would believe its message. Quite the opposite. Jesus and the biblical writers repeatedly warned that MANY PEOPLE WOULD NOT BELIEVE. Nearly 2,000 years later, that unbelief continues. Millions of people reject the Bible. Millions do not believe Jesus was the Messiah. Millions do not believe in the God whom Jesus proclaimed. But here is the fascinating point: THE BIBLE SAID THIS WOULD HAPPEN. JESUS SAID THE WORLD DID NOT KNOW GOD Shortly before His death, Jesus prayed to His Father: “O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee...” — John 17:25, KJV Notice what Jesus said: “THE WORLD HATH NOT KNOWN THEE.” Jesus did not predict that His message would immediately convince the entire world. He recognised that much of the world DID NOT KNOW GOD. JESUS SAID MANY WOULD CHOOSE THE BROAD WAY Jesus gave another sobering warning: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.” — Matthew 7:13–14, KJV Notice the contrast: MANY — THE BROAD WAY. FEW — FIND THE WAY TO LIFE. Jesus never taught that the majority would necessarily accept the truth. JESUS ALSO SAID PEOPLE COULD SEE WITHOUT PERCEIVING Jesus said: “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.” — Matthew 13:13, KJV People could actually hear Jesus speaking. They could see what He was doing. Yet many still did not believe. Jesus therefore anticipated something that continues to happen: PEOPLE WOULD HEAR THE MESSAGE AND STILL REJECT IT. DO NON-BELIEVERS “PROVE” THE BIBLE? We should state this carefully. The existence of unbelievers does not, by itself, prove every claim contained in the Bible. However, widespread unbelief is certainly CONSISTENT WITH what Jesus and the biblical writers said we should expect. And that raises an interesting question: If unbelief in Jesus and the biblical message is supposed to disprove Christianity, why did Jesus Himself repeatedly warn His followers that unbelief would occur? The Bible did not promise: “EVERYONE WILL BELIEVE.” Instead, it warned us that many WOULD NOT. THE PROPHECY OF ISAIAH This pattern existed long before the ministry of Jesus. Jesus quoted Isaiah: “By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive.” — Matthew 13:14; compare Isaiah 6:9 Jesus applied this ancient warning to the unbelief He encountered during His own ministry. Therefore unbelief was not something that took Jesus by surprise. THE QUESTION FOR EVERY READER The important question is not: DO MOST PEOPLE BELIEVE? Truth is not determined by a majority vote. The important question is: IS IT TRUE? Was Jesus really the Messiah? Did God really raise Jesus from the dead? Is the Bible historically reliable? Were its prophecies fulfilled? Does the evidence support its claims? Those questions must be investigated on their own merits. DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD — FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE If millions believe something, that does not automatically make it true. And if millions reject something, that does not automatically make it false. Jesus Himself warned that the way followed by the majority is not necessarily the way leading to life. So investigate for yourself. READ. SEARCH. QUESTION. COMPARE THE EVIDENCE. OPEN YOUR BIBLE. The Pearl Of Great Price.

I believe there are many many people who are spiritually hungry and are spiritually searching for evidence of God, which I believe was clearly illustrated by Jesus in His parable called The Pearl Of Great Price in Matthew 13:45-46. Although this parable told by Jesus was illustrating the value and preciousness of the kingdom, Jesus also illustrated a merchant, who was "searching" for that "pearl of great price". which I believe was a person who was on a mission to find the truth of God. (Just as people who are looking at Bible Discoveries and The Shroud of Turin) who find the truth of God, if they have open hearts. Who believe there is something out there worth looking for, or they would not be seeking for it. As was the merchant, "searching" for that "pearl of great price". After seeking (Bible Evidence) They discovered The Pearl Of Great Price. Jesus Christ himself (becoming Born Again) and experience the ultimate blessings of the "kingdom of heaven" I pray ALL scoffers and the Doubting Thomas will change their way of thinking and use Bible Evidence to bring the lost to faith and know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and testify to the majority of the world who are lost and not as blessed as born again believers, who clearly need to see the evidence of Jesus to bring them to faith. Which is precisely why Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 seek, and ye shall find.

WHY CAN BRILLIANT MINDS LOOK AT CREATION AND NOT SEE A CREATOR?

Why do some of the brightest, most highly educated and scientifically accomplished people in the world look at this extraordinary planet — filled with life, information, order and astonishing complexity — yet conclude that no Creator is necessary? How can two people look at the same universe, the same stars, the same Earth and the same extraordinary complexity of life, yet reach completely different conclusions? One sees evidence of an INTELLIGENT CREATOR. The other sees only natural processes. The Bible gives us a spiritual explanation that deserves serious consideration. Jesus said: “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” — John 3:19, KJV Jesus was teaching something profound about human nature. Our conclusions are not always determined by intelligence alone. The HEART matters too. A person can possess extraordinary intelligence, education and scientific knowledge and still reject the things of God. According to Jesus, human beings can resist the light because they prefer darkness. This does not mean that every unbelieving scientist is deliberately dishonest or consciously rejecting evidence. Nor should Christians assume that intelligence and education are enemies of faith. Many outstanding scientists throughout history have believed in God. The deeper biblical point is that intelligence alone does not guarantee spiritual understanding. THE APOSTLE PAUL EXPLAINS FURTHER Paul wrote: “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” — 1 Corinthians 2:14, KJV What one person considers foolishness, another may recognise as profound truth. The Bible teaches that there is more involved in knowing God than possessing a brilliant mind. There must also be a willingness to SEEK Him. SIN CAN DARKEN THE HUMAN HEART The Bible repeatedly warns that sin can influence the way human beings think and perceive spiritual truth. When people continually choose darkness rather than light, their hearts can become hardened. A hardened heart can then affect the mind. And a person who refuses God's truth can become increasingly vulnerable to deception. This is why Scripture repeatedly calls people to turn back to God. BUT THIS MESSAGE IS FOR BELIEVERS TOO Christians should never read these passages and simply point their fingers at unbelievers. We must examine OUR OWN hearts as well. Religious people can also become blinded by pride, tradition, prejudice and unwillingness to reconsider what they believe. Every one of us should therefore ask: AM I REALLY SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH? Would I change my beliefs if the evidence showed me that I was wrong? Am I listening to God — or merely defending what I already want to believe? LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE Look at the universe. Look at our extraordinary planet. Look at life. Look at DNA. Look at the astonishing order and complexity found throughout nature. Then ask one of the greatest questions a human being can ask: WHY DOES ANYTHING EXIST AT ALL? Do not believe merely because someone tells you to believe. But neither should you reject God merely because someone tells you that science has made Him unnecessary. SEARCH. QUESTION. INVESTIGATE. OPEN YOUR HEART. Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed, and most biblical scholars and historians see the theories of his non-existence as effectively refuted. In antiquity, the existence of Jesus was never denied by those who opposed Christianity. Geoffrey Blainey notes that a few scholars have argued that Jesus did not exist, but writes that Jesus' life was in fact "astonishingly documented" by the standards of the time - more so than any of his contemporaries - with numerous books, stories and memoirs written about him. THE PEARL OF PROPHECY — STILL BEING FULFILLED TODAY

One of the most remarkable prophecies quoted by Jesus concerns something we can still observe today: People can SEE the evidence, yet not perceive its meaning. They can HEAR the message, yet not understand it. Why? Jesus explained: “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.” — Matthew 13:13, KJV Jesus then pointed directly to an ancient prophecy from Isaiah: “And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive.” — Matthew 13:14, KJV Think about this carefully. Jesus was quoting a prophecy written centuries before His ministry, yet He said it was being fulfilled among the people listening to Him. But why could they not understand? Jesus continued: “For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed...” — Matthew 13:15, KJV Notice those final words: “THEIR EYES THEY HAVE CLOSED.” The problem was not simply a lack of evidence. Jesus pointed to the condition of the HEART. A person can examine the Bible, hear the words of Jesus and look at evidence concerning God, yet remain unconvinced if they have already closed their heart and mind to the possibility that it could be true. Jesus continued: “...lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” — Matthew 13:15, KJV What an extraordinary statement. SEE WITH THEIR EYES. HEAR WITH THEIR EARS. UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART. TURN BACK. AND BE HEALED. A PROPHECY STILL WORTH THINKING ABOUT TODAY Nearly 2,000 years after Jesus spoke these words, people still respond to Him in dramatically different ways. Some examine the evidence and believe. Some investigate and remain unconvinced. Others reject Jesus, God and the Bible without seriously examining the evidence at all. Jesus warned us about something deeply human: We can look without truly seeing. We can listen without truly hearing. And we can approach evidence with a heart already closed to its conclusion. This is why I believe the words of Jesus remain extraordinarily relevant today. BUT JESUS ALSO GAVE HOPE Jesus did not merely speak about those who would not understand. He then turned to His disciples and said: “But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.” — Matthew 13:16, KJV The message is therefore not that an unbeliever can NEVER understand. The invitation is to SEEK. To listen. To investigate. To question. To open your heart to the possibility that God is real and that Jesus truly is His Messiah. Jesus said elsewhere: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” — Matthew 7:7, KJV QUICK COMMENTARY Evidence alone cannot force someone to believe. A person must be willing to examine it. If we approach God, Jesus and the Bible having already decided that none of them could possibly be true, then even powerful evidence may mean very little to us. But if we genuinely seek the truth with an open heart and mind, we may begin to see things we had previously overlooked. So whether you are a believer, an unbeliever, or simply unsure: SEARCH. QUESTION. INVESTIGATE. READ THE WORDS OF JESUS FOR YOURSELF. CAN LIFE COME FROM NOTHING?

The extraordinary complexity of life raises one of the greatest questions we can ever ask: WHO CREATED IT ALL? A clock does not assemble itself. Its intricate parts point to intelligence, purpose and a designer. How much more does the astonishing complexity of life, the heavens and the earth point us toward an ALMIGHTY INTELLIGENT CREATOR? Who is He? The Bible gives us this beautiful answer: “And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD and said: ‘O LORD, the God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are THE God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.’” — 2 Kings 19:15 The Creator is THE ONE TRUE GOD ALMIGHTY — the God who made heaven and earth. And according to the New Testament, God accomplished His saving purpose through His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Do you know them? Jesus prayed: “And this is eternal life, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” — John 17:3 To discover the One True God and His Son Jesus Christ is to discover a treasure greater than anything this world can offer — the hope of resurrection and everlasting life. Jesus also declared: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” — Matthew 24:14, KJV And He said: “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” — Matthew 11:15, KJV The Apostle Paul explained the message of salvation: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9, KJV Notice those wonderful words: GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. The Bible asks: “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”— Genesis 18:14 And again: “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”— Jeremiah 32:27 The prophet Jeremiah declared: “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.”— Jeremiah 32:17 What powerful words. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD. Yet mankind repeatedly places its confidence in human beings rather than in the God who gave us life. Scripture warns: “Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.”— Psalm 146:3 Dear friends, let us seriously consider what the Bible tells us, because the question of God, salvation and everlasting life concerns our ultimate future. Jesus said: “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”— Matthew 11:15 The Psalms declare: “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”— Psalm 118:8 And: “Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”— Psalm 40:4 Isaiah warns: “Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?”— Isaiah 2:22 And Jeremiah gives an equally serious warning: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.”— Jeremiah 17:5 The message could hardly be clearer: DO NOT PLACE YOUR ULTIMATE TRUST IN MAN. PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD. Human beings come and go. Kingdoms rise and fall. Governments change. Human knowledge changes. But God remains. SEEK THE LORD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND. Jesus declared: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”— Matthew 24:14 Do not allow the distractions of this temporary life to prevent you from searching for the truth about God. Open your Bible. Seek God. Learn the teachings of Jesus Christ. Put your trust in the One who gave you life. How can God be THREE when God—and His Son Jesus—declare that GOD IS ONE?

Dear Friends, For months now, day and night, I have been carrying out serious and intensive research into one of the most important doctrines in Christianity—the Trinity. During this time, I have had hundreds of discussions and debates with Trinitarian Bible teachers and scholars, repeatedly asking for clear biblical explanations of the doctrine. My central question has remained remarkably simple: How can God be THREE when God—and His Son Jesus—declare that GOD IS ONE? After countless hours of praying, studying, researching, questioning, comparing Scripture, and debating the evidence, I have reached a firm conclusion. I do not believe there is a mysterious biblical doctrine called the Trinity that Christians are required to accept without being able to understand it. Instead, I believe Scripture presents something far simpler: GOD IS GOD ALONE. “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me.” — Isaiah 46:9 And Jesus is the true and literal: SON OF GOD. Jesus Himself said: “…because I said, ‘I am Son of God’?” — John 10:36, BLB Even more importantly, Jesus identified His Father as: “THE ONLY TRUE GOD.” “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent.” — John 17:3, BLB This takes us directly back to what Jesus called the foremost commandment: “The foremost is, ‘Hear this O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord.’” — Mark 12:29, BLB Jesus was repeating the great declaration of Deuteronomy 6:4: GOD IS ONE. For me, therefore, the great mystery is no longer “How can three persons be one God?” The mystery I am now left asking is: How did so many sincere Christians come to believe that God must be understood as three persons when Jesus Himself reaffirmed that God is one and repeatedly distinguished Himself as God's Son? When Jesus asked His disciples who they believed He was, Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” — Matthew 16:16, BLB And when John explained exactly why he wrote his Gospel, he said: “But these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” — John 20:31, BLB That is the confession I believe Christians should examine very carefully: ONE GOD — THE FATHER. JESUS CHRIST — HIS SON AND MESSIAH. I encourage everyone: do not simply believe me, and do not simply believe tradition. Read these Scriptures for yourself, examine their context, compare the evidence, pray for understanding, and decide what you believe the Word of God actually teaches.
