Hebrews 1:8. Yet again ANOTHER Trinitarian deception.

Hebrews 1:8. Yet again ANOTHER Trinitarian deception.

Quick Facts!
If Jesus is being called God here as many believe, Jesus being called God, does not mean Jesus is the ONE TRUE GOD.

As said by  Sir Anthony Farquhar Buzzard, biblical scholar, unitarian Christian theologian, author and professor on the faculty of Atlanta Bible College.
Jesus is referred to as “god” twice for sure, others are called God or gods, including, angels, and even glorified members of the Church.

Note in John 1:1, GOD is the word.
Where as Jesus is the Word 👉OF GOD. 👈 Revelation 19:13
John defines the difference with GOD being the word, and the SON being the Word OF GOD for GOD.

Note how we read in John 1:14 how the Word became flesh, and NOT GOD became flesh!

1 Corinthians 8:5
Truly even if indeed there are those called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as there are many gods and many lords,

If Jesus were also GOD Almighty, that would then make TWO GODS, as Jesus said GOD was His GOD John 20:17.

That alone proves Jesus is NOT GOD.

What do Trinitarians believe?

Click on image to enlarge.

As we read above, Trinitarians claim the author of Hebrews called Jesus GOD in Hebrews 1:8, because the verse says: (the throne of you o God) and therefor Trinitarians teach and believe Hebrews 1:8, proves Jesus is GOD.

Is this Trinitarian claim TRUE or FALSE?

Who was the author of Hebrews referring to?

I believe the author of the letter to the Hebrews 1:8,9, was referring to the marriage of Solomon with an Egyptian princess, in Psalm 45, which is a poem, and a wedding song, and is a Messianic prophecy, in Hebrews 1:8-9, of Jesus Christ, who will RULE as a (Mighty God), on the throne of David.

The psalm has frequently been interpreted as a Messianic prophecy.
Please see article at the end: Psalm 45, From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But why then is Jesus called God here in Hebrews 1:8?
The poet of Psalm 45:6, (Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; is clearly addressing the king Solomon as a God.

This is because GOD Almighty exulted the king Solomon to be as a God, which is a foreshadow of GOD’s Son Jesus.

Jesus confirmed in John 10:34:
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—

Jesus was referring to (Psalm 82:6) which says -
I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;

Jesus was referring to (gods) as in the sense of Magistrates and Prophets and judges, appointed by the word of GOD.

Jesus was confirming that His Father addresses certain people as God or gods.

The poet of Psalm 45, was addressing king Solomon as (Your throne, O God, meaning as a God, which is why the writer to the Hebrews was also foreshadowing Jesus Christ in a similar way as to being (a God) like Magistrates and Prophets and judges, appointed by THE GOD.

Also notice what St Paul has to say on this matter regarding God’s or gods and the difference between THE ONE TRUE GOD?

For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. 1 Corinthians 8:5,6.

ISAIAH 9:6?

It is interesting to know why the word (Father) is NOT in the Greek text. If you know why this word (Father) is missing please email me on mrsimonbrown@aol.com

Did you notice what I did? Jesus is a (Mighty God).

Why is Jesus a (Mighty God)?

The answer is given by Jesus Himself in John 5:19:
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. John 14:10.

This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” John 3:2.

If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” John 9:33.

Jesus is a (Mighty God), not because He is THE ONE TRUE GOD, but that THE ALMIGHTY ONE TRUE GOD His Father, dwells in Him who does his works, and because Jesus was the only person who was BORN/BEGOTTEN directly from His Father GOD, Jesus received His Fathers IDENTICAL NATURE.

As THE ALMIGHTY GOD The Father dwells in Jesus who is doing his works, that proves Jesus is NOT THE SAME ALMIGHTY GOD Himself, but that: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. Colossians 1:15.

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. Psalm 77:14

The author of Hebrews was telling us about the prophecy in Psalm 45:6, where he wrote down the exact, word for word in Hebrews 1:8.

Let us have a look?
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; Psalm 45:6.

But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. Hebrews 1:8.
Both translations by: English Standard Version.

of Your kingdom scepter of uprightness the scepter and ever [is] forever O God Your throne. Psalm 45:6. Interlinear.

of Your kingdom scepter of uprightness the scepter and ever [is] forever O God Your throne. Psalm 45:6. Interlinear.

“the throne of you the God” [is] to the age of the age and the sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of the kingdom of you. Hebrews 1:8. Interlinear.

“the throne of you the God” [is] to the age of the age and the sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of the kingdom of you. Hebrews 1:8.  Interlinear.

Some believe that Hebrews 1:8, is wrongly translated and should read:

"To the Son He says, 'The throne of you the God to the age of the age. The sceptre of righteousness the sceptre of your kingdom/kingship" (1:8).

An American Translation (Smith-Goodspeed), “God is your throne....”

The Bible in Living English (Byington) “God is your throne....”

The Message “Your throne is God’s throne….”

And here is the translation of Hebrews 1:8, in the Greek text of the Codex Vaticanus which clearly reads:

As we read, the two scriptures of Psalm 45:6 and Hebrews 1:8, are virtual identical and proves the author of Hebrews, was well aware of the Old Testament scriptures teachings and prophecies.

But why is Psalm 45:6 and Hebrews 1:8 used to teach Jesus will be on the (throne of David) as a God.

Because Psalm 45:6, is about King David’s (THRONE) and His Son Solomon who were both exalted as a God, by THE ONE TRUE GOD, and who sat on the throne of Yahweh which fulfills countless prophecies just like the prophecy in ISAIAH 9:6 and Hebrews 1:8 and just as Jesus said: The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

So Psalm 45:6 Isaiah 9:6 and Hebrews 1:8 are just some of many scriptures foreshadowing Jesus as our great and final perfect King of all Kings acting as our mediator sitting down on the throne with His GOD Yahweh.

On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. Revelation 19:16.

Just as King David and His Son Solomon where exalted as a God, who were the Kings appointed by THE GOD of Israel.

Just as the example of Joseph who was ruling and sitting at the right hand of Pharaoh in Egypt, is also symbolic and meaningful of Christ who is now: seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

Apparently there are many similarities with Solomon as a type of Christ, except that Jesus never sinned.

King David tells us in 1 Chronicles 28:5: And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.  1 Chronicles 28:5.

Solomon’s Kingdom is a Type of Christ’s Kingdom to come in the Millennia period as told in Revelation 20.

Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and set you on his throne as king for the LORD your God! Because your God loved Israel and would establish them forever, he has made you king over them, that you may execute justice and righteousness.” English Standard Version

At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the LORD, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the LORD in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart. Jeremiah 3:17

And Kingdom of Christ.

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; Psalm 45:6.

King David foreshadowing Jesus.
The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” Psalm 110:1.

Jesus.
“‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’? Matthew 22:44.

Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Matthew 26:64.

Conclusion.

Is this Trinitarian claim TRUE or FALSE?

Does Hebrews 1:8 prove Jesus is GOD?

NO, Hebrews 1:8 proves the opposite, that Jesus is not GOD.
Because the writer of Hebrews was referring to the Messianic prophecy of king Solomon as a God, Psalm 45:6, (Your throne, O God), in the same example as Magistrates and Prophets and judges, appointed by THE GOD. (Psalm 82:6) John 10:34. 1 Corinthians 8:5.

If Hebrews 1:8 proves Jesus is THE GOD, then king Solomon was also THE GOD.
And that’s why the writer of the letter to the Hebrews used the Messianic prophecy of king Solomon, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The King was honoured and exalted as a God who was GOD’s right hand man sitting on the Davidic King, Solomon’s throne of YAHWEH, just as we are now: Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.

If Jesus were already the same “one true GOD” who loves RIGHTEOUSNESS, and hates LAWLESSNESS, then why would Jesus be any different to His Father GOD in the first place?

And if Jesus were already the same “one true GOD” why would GOD the father ANOINT Jesus with; THE OIL OF GLADNESS? Because surely GOD would be ANOINTING Himself.

It is obvious if GOD the Father, and Jesus the SON, were the same GOD they would simply say: WE GOD THE FATHER AND GOD THE SON ARE ONE GOD, AND THE SAME GOD.

Most do not understand the simple difference between ‘God’ and THE GOD. Trinitarians simply see the word God applied to Jesus and simply believe that’s the evidence that Jesus is GOD, without studying why Jesus is referred to as God.

Jesus is referred to as “God” a few times for sure, others are called God or gods, including, angels, and even glorified members of the Church, Moses was made a God by THE GOD, and even Satan is called the God of this world.

The final proof Jesus is NOT the same GOD as THE ONLY ONE TRUE GOD is in the very next verse of: Hebrews 1:9.

The writer of Hebrews 1:9, clearly confirms Jesus has a GOD, by saying: You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore (THE) God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”

Simply notice in the Greek text, (THE) GOD, THE GOD of you?
Hebrews 1:9.Simply notice in the Greek text, (THE) GOD, THE GOD of you?

Jesus cannot be that same ONE TRUE GOD, as The ONE TRUE GOD is His GOD, and if Jesus was that SAME ONE TRUE GOD, He could NOT have a GOD, as we clearly see The ONE TRUE GOD is His GOD.
These two words: THE GOD THE GOD of you, proves both the ONENESS Pentecostal faith and the TRINITY faith wrong, who sadly and madly can’t understand, Jesus has a GOD proving Jesus is NOT that same GOD, because He has a GOD and there is only ONE TRUE GOD, and if Jesus was GOD, as the writer of Hebrews confirms Jesus has a GOD, we would then have TWO GODS, side by side, and THREE GODS if the Holy Spirit is also a SEPARATE person as the TRINITY teach which contradicts the whole Bible.

If Jesus were THE TRUE GOD, that would mean His Father would not be THE ONE TRUE GOD, because THE ONE TRUE GOD cannot have a TRUE GOD, and would instead make TWO TRUE GODS.
As GOD is GOD ALONE, thats what makes GOD the ONE TRUE GOD, which is why there is NO OTHER GOD LIKE THE ONE TRUE GOD.

Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, Isaiah 46:9.

I will leave you with an article about Psalm 45, and some Trinitarian commentaries on Psalm 45:6.
Note how Trinitarian commentaries are confused with Psalm 45:6?

Psalm 45 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. 2.

Because Trinitarian’s do not understand the truth, that GOD Almighty is GOD alone, and believe Jesus is also GOD, they therefor are very confused with why the writer of Hebrews is addressing the Davidic King Solomon, who was sat on the throne of Yahweh as a God, NOT understanding the King is also representing Jesus sitting down on the throne of Yahweh RULING this time as the perfect King as a (Mighty God), for THE ALMIGHTY GOD, who is His ONLY ONE TRUE GOD. John 17:3, Mark 12:29.

Hebrews 1:8. Yet again ANOTHER Trinitarian deception. Trinitarian commentaries are confused with Psalm 45:6?

Psalm 45:1 Probably refers to Solomon as a type of Christ:

Did GOD say Jesus was GOD?

Mr own research on Hebrews 1:8-9 is still being revised.
Until then please see: The Trinity Delusion Conclusion:

When all the facts are laid out before us, the truth of the matter is plain and it should be evident to the reasonable mind that the weight of the evidence is heavily against the Trinitarian translation. The Trinitarian translation not only results in an absurd statement concerning God's God, it results in an ancient Davidic King (Ps 45) who lived long before Jesus being called "God." Trinitarians inconsistently translate ho theos at 1:8-9 and the implications are that God has a God and God's God anoints God so that God will make God to be above God's peers. It's ridiculous on the face of it.

However, when we understand how Scripture uses the word "throne" to refer to Kingly authority, and when we understand that the Davidic King, whether David or Jesus, was anointed by God in His Holy Spirit to rule and judge, the verdict is clear and undeniable. The Davidic King's, throne, his Kingly authority to rule, is God Himself who rules and judges through his human King because He has anointed that King by His Spirit to do so (i.e. "God is your throne"). His Kingly authority is God, his throne is God. He executes the authority of God's throne, that is, the Davidic King executes his God's authority and he is anointed to do so by the Holy Spirit of God. The Kingly authority by which he rules is the authority/throne of God Himself. This Kingly authority means that the King's judgments are thereby God's judgment because God has given the King this authority to make these judgements. Hence it says, "Your throne ho theos." Moreover, the manuscript evidence strongly suggests the verse is not only referring to the Father's throne but to "His Kingdom." Since God's throne signifies His Kingdom authority, the verdict concerning this verse should be clear.

Give the King Your judgments, ho theos, and Your righteousness to the King’s son. May he judge Your people with righteousness and Your afflicted with justice. Psalm 72:1-3
But concerning the son, "God is your throne... the scepter of HIS Kingdom." Heb 1:8

I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

    1. Roly, how is it you seem to think I don't know it is you leaving the 2 comments?

And how it is you cannot understand what is so simple to understand by sending me an article saying Jesus is GOD, and by doing so you Trinitarians keep on proving you believe there are THREE GODS, but do not admit that truth that you believe there are THREE GODS.

How is it you cannot understand the Hebrews writer is referring to Jesus as a God, and the Father as GOD, and NOT ONE SINGLE GOD, proving you believe there are THREE GODS with your false separate spirit.

You Trinitarians continually demonstrate how so very confused and deceived you all are by your own hands.

  2. The TRUTH of Hebrews 1:8.

    1. The English language makes a clear distinction between “God” and “god.” Thus, in English Bibles, the heavenly Father is called “God,” while lesser divinities, people with God’s authority on earth and important people such as kings, are also called “god” (2 Cor. 4:4; John 10:34 and 35; Acts 12:22). The Hebrew and Aramaic languages cannot make the distinction between “God” and “god.” Since Hebrew and Aramaic have only capital letters, every use is “GOD.” Furthermore, although the Greek language has both upper case and lower case letters as English does, the early Greek manuscripts did not blend them. It was the style of writing at the time of the New Testament to make manuscripts in all capital letters, so the Greek manuscripts were, like the Hebrew text, all upper case script. Scholars call these manuscripts “uncials,” and that style was popular until the early ninth century or so when a smaller script was developed for books. [1]

Since all texts were in upper case script, if we translated Genesis 1:1 and 2 as it appeared in the Hebrew manuscripts, it would read: FULL ARTICLE HERE https://www.biblicalunitarian.com/featured/hebrews-1-8
